problem I have with First Row is the 3,000 plug-ins and add-ons it asks for. Dunno where I'm going wrong, but I end up with six programmes telling me my computer is infected, my drivers are out-of date, etc, and still there's an icon in front of the picture saying I haven't downloaded the right player! :emoticon-0101-sadsm

Do you find that Ace Stream works ok, hash?
I downloaded Torrent Stream but had problems with it. It was pre-buffering for about three minutes and when the stream started it was buffering every minute or so. One or two other programs were behaving oddly and I ended up uninstalling it and doing a system restore.
I don't have any such problems with Sopcast, so I don't think the fault lies with my broadband.

ace stream is the best of all the software there besides sopcast but sopcast is dead. its a little tempremental but its perfect quality once its running.

lately ive been using the XBMC for windows program <a whole other tutorial> and watching matches , tv etc. through that.

http://xbmc.org/download/ go here and download it for your operating system , google xbmchub wizard or xbmc wizard i cant remember which or where i downloaded it from. install xbmc on your computer , run the wizard and boom. lots of british, american, world channels and sports channels with the footy on it <ok>
