He's spunked his money on foreigners who don't have what it takes to win this competition like Podolski and Arteta- it's his own fault and he should fall on his sword instead of putting up smokescreens like this. Chelsea won it last year and Man U would have had a good shout this year barring a refs decision

Some pundits didn't think it was even a yellow, for me it was unintentional foot-up and a yellow but a red was shocking really

Well said. Wenger just covering his own ass as usual, might be too late for him anyway.

back on topic............. "Arsene, you are **** and too stubborn to win anything"............... "um no English team has got anywhere!"
it seems the British sheep are easily distracted when it comes to criticizing anything.

Makes you wonder why this football genius hasn't managed to win a single trophy in the past eight years.

The most annoying thing about the Champions League is the commentators' constant ****ing over Barcelona. They're boring as hell to watch. F*ck chicken tikka-taka or whatever it's called. There's only so many times you can watch Lionel Messi score from 5-yards before you get bored. Give me a side like Madrid over boring Barca any day.

I agree with Erik, Barcelona are so good that they are actually boring,it's like watching a FIFA 13 game in real life. It's the same in a lot of sports like when Schumacher won every year, Steven Hendry in the snooker in the 90's, it gets tedious after a while. Anytime I watch Barca now I want them to **** up in some way to make the game a bit more interesting. Got to say Villas supersmug goal celebration v Milan really wound me up, I bet if he was playing for the likes of Arsenal he'd be a bit more modest having to work for a living!

    Is this of assistance?

    Playoffs: €2,100,000
Base fee for group stage: €8,600,000
    Group match victory: €1,000,000
    Group match draw: €500,000
    Round of 16: €3,500,000
    Quarter-finals: €3,900,000
    Semi-finals: €4,900,000
    Losing finalist: €6,500,000
    Winning the Final: €10,500,000

I believe there may be a medal involved somewhere of other. I don't know why they bother, do you? :emoticon-0125-mmm:

It is boring. It's just the same thing over and over and over and over and over.

I'm not sure how old you are, but do you (or have you) played the FIFA games? Barca are the real-life equivalent of the kid who wins 5-0 by scoring five Jew goals. It's a very effective means of getting a win, but it's boring as hell. Barca are just like that.

Let's take Madrid - There's a variety in their play. They can score a Barca-esque goal if they want to, but they're equally happy to break on the counter at 100mph and turn an opposition chance into a goal. They're also not averse to occasionally crossing the ball, or to shooting from distance.

Also, that Barca have lost three of their last six games shows that their supposedly delightful style is not infallible.

So we're judging success by money awarded now are we? You've just summed up why football has become ****.

Won 4-1. Last night there were lots of comments about the unfair away goals rule and how unlucky Arsenal were after dominating.

No,I answered your question about what you win for being runner-up. There's a medal as well, oh, thinking about it there's the applause, the pride of competing and the superiority of not being you. All in all worthwhile.
