So, the last eight is likely to be. Real Madrid Barcelona Borussia Dortmund Bayern Munich Juventus PSG Porto Galatasaray There are some epic matches to be made from that lot.
Hoping for a Dortmund/Juve final. But it'll be El Classico, after lasts eason, Uefa will make sure of it. Chelsea weren't supposed to beat Barca, Bayern weren't supposed to beat Real.
I'm thinking Porto, Galatasaray and PSG will be out in the next round unless 2 of them draw each other. Bayern and Barca are walking there domestic leagues, Juventus have a nice 9 point lead in Italy as well - all 3 of these teams have been very good this season (Juventus and Bayern very solid at the back, Barca very good going forward). Dortmund are also a good side, lacking a bit in the bundesliga but quick with there passing and always a threat going forward. Dortmund have also performed well in this years competition so far. And Madrid with Mourinho and Ronaldo plus the rest of the players at there disposal are always capable of getting a result. I just can't see any of PSG/Porto/Gala getting a result over two legs against any of the others. (I'm still holding out for a miracle result against Bayern though!)
Ideally it'll look something like this: Barca vs Madrid Arsenal vs Porto Dortmund vs Juventus Galatasaray vs PSG Then: Barca/Madrid vs Juventus/Dortmund Arsenal vs Galatasaray/PSG And Finally: Arsenal vs Whoever Or not...
PSG v Galatasaray Bayern v Real Barca v Dortmund Juve v Porto Platini's son works for PSG and Platini has said he wants to see Juve in the final so I expect easier draws for them, Barca will conveniently avoid Bayern/Real as usual at this stage.
Now it looks like they're through to the next round. Also good news in my opinion. More games for them and a distraction from the league.
Fulham will be tough at the weekend for them, and even harder after this game. Another 2 games to play if they go through would be great.
I'd love nothing more than Spurs to drop points but expecting them to drop points at home to Fulham with a fully rested Bale and half rested Lennon is optimistic at best.
Bale will have had a week off - I'd not say that's fully rested. Fulhams away form I've no idea about.
The team I saw tonight would need 3 Bales to justify your confidence. Anyway, how are the chavs doing? lol
