What do you think about Tony Pulis as our director of football? He could hand over the team duties to a top coach. We already have the players, perhaps that way we could get someone to get the best out of them on match days.
Not a chance and it would devalue our club/brand further if he retains any input into footballing duties! We all feel that we need a different approach and a better manager (opinion), so how could someone with Rafa's experience and success (for example) have TP over looking what he is doing? It would defeat the purpose in getting a new manager and kowing how close he is with the Coates family and his history of stubborness and being vindictive there would be no chance of Stoke trying to better themselves.
Director of football Moels he has shown conclusively that he CANNOT manage the team, never mind have any overruling input. Just hark back to all of the managers at Manchester United who 'failed' when Sir Matt was in the boardroom!!! And Pulis is no Sir Matt, and should not be mentioned in the same breath. I know you are a Pulis fan mate...but he has to go and far far away from Stoke. Tor reiterate for the umpteenth time, Pulis thanks for the promotion, thanks for the first two seasons... but time to go.
I`m not really a Pulis fan nick but as you say: "Pulis thanks for the promotion, thanks for the first two seasons" He has put a lot into the club and he has found some good players only for it to go wrong when it came to getting the best out of his signings. I feel that a better coach could have done more. RAFA FOR STOKE? Now if you gave Rafa £100m to spend, we would be doing better than we are now.
Why can't Clueliss just leave en bloc? Like as a Director of a Welsh non League team.. As far away as is humanly possible. Director of football Sorry to come across as ignorant fella's but is something happening at S.C.F.C. that I have missed? I've not been on the site for a few days due to a stay in hospital.. even the radio was crap too!
Jowler Thanks buddy I'm doing OK ish... will be there on Saturday Just a pity Clueliss will still be there with us.
Nick You ever tried throwing a whole housebrick? I would'nt reach more than 4 rows in front of me, half a brick maybe the dugout would be in range, if I had a catapult that is.
ONB, As Potts said better distance and more aerodynamic, plus someone else can throw the other half which gives a better chance of hitting the target!!
Jowler My missus can throw I'll give her the other half mate. 50/50 chance of hitting the dugout me thinks. A rough guess from where we sit Boothen End. It must be at least 100 metres away. Maybe they let me take a cannon through the turnstiles.... BOOM, BOOM. 2nd thoughts, Smither's sits right behind Clueliss.
