lol! I mentioned it to my girlfriend but as I won't be seeing her until next weekend I think I am going to have to be patient...

 

Whats the equivalent for women? Chocolate and Rom-Com day?

Valentines day I suppose? As a generalisation it is the man who takes the woman out, buys gifts etc. Thats why its a month after Valentines day is it not?

 

That was a really good hit. It's funny how I actually know about those teams thanks to FM.

 

But I thought the standard format for Valentines day was. Man buys card, flowers, Chocolates, takes gf/wife out for meal/or cooks. In return for this, gf/wife gives man sexy times. Win-Win. No?

 

Don't know about you... the first part happens but not so sure about the second part!!! xD

Not sure about this part. I don't know about you guys, but I'd much rather there were no special holidays at all. I'm perfectly capable of showing my appreciation for someone without being forced to by social convention. It's far less meaningful when you're just doing it because you're expected to. Mothers Day and Fathers Day are the same.

 

A modder has uploaded a video of him successfully making SimCity entirely playable offline. EA and Maxis had previously claimed that including an offline mode wouldn't have been possible. Now they have some explaining to do.

For what its worth I agree with you, Valentines Day is horribly commercialised, most people would recognise that it doesn't have to be a specific time of year for people to show their feelings towards someone.

 

Yeah... “significant amount of the calculations" going on there... that was always just a justification for the always online DRM...

I have a copy but don't have an internet connection to Monday at the earliest, I actually forgot to cancel my pre-order after all the release day hassle.

 

haha fair enough. I always thought Valentines day was more of a two way thing. It's supposed to be at least. You put in all the groundwork, and are rewarded with gf/wife often in some fancy new lingerie that they've bought themselves/you! Either way I like how the man who came up with Steak and Blowjob day wasn't risking the point of the day being lost in translation and made it blatantly obvious what's expected.

Apparently according to BS (good initials by the way), we have spent too much and too little and Spurs are a bigger club than Arsenal because they were the first team into Europe when dinosaurs walked the Earth.
