Unlucky Gylfi. Naughton is not a good left back I don't get it.
We are playing well apart from some shoddy defending.

At the start of the season i was saying Carroll should be playing more games, esspecially in the europa league, where it suits a more possesiom based game agaisnt european teams.

When Tom has been called upom, he has looked a class act and it says alot about Avb that he takes the safe option of playing Livermore who has gone backwards.

Carroll may be sliight in frame yet he often makes space for himself so when he recieves the ball, hes unchallenged so his lack of strength isnt an issue.

I would much rather have Carroll than Livermore. Livermore is an average premiership player he is not good enough for us IMO.
Next goal is vital. ****s sake our defending is ****.

I don't trust Gallas and I don't like Friedel in goal when we play a high line. And I don't like Naughton at LB. Key to remember though that if we get one Inter need 4 more or something like that. So while I obviously want us to win the game it's not disastrous if we don't I guess.

Jakes a top lad but hes a runner, just runs and runs and leaves gaps in midfield.

Hell why not Holtby actually? He can play the ball well and he's a right little terrier. He'd work and work this game.

I agree with all of that Huddlefro.
Against better sides we would be in trouble already tonight.

We are very poor tonight. we want too long on the ball, too many touches and the high line is not working out well and we are being knocked off the ball up front way too easily...and we are are very lucky not to be 2 down in 25 mins...apart from that it's all going great!

We were playing well Deedub but the last 10 minutes has seen some appalling defending. It could be 2-0 but Cassano hit the bar.

We looked solid for the first 15 minutes. Inter are having their 15 minutes now.

We're doing fine. Nothing to worry about.

Lennon too...not sure many people realise just how much of a shift he puts in tracking back and helping the defence

  18. The game plan is NOT working.
    1. Why start time-wasting in the first 5 mins - get warned on a couple of occasions and then get a booking.
    2. Why bench your top LB for an unproven RB who can't hold his position for more than 2 minutes
    3. Complain all you like about Ade but at least he is putting some work in which is more than can be said for Defoe. If we play 4-4-2 then we need both to work and track.

    Yeah good point Colin.

Interesting point on ITV that Adebayor last scored on New Years Day and Defoe Boxing Day. We have scored something like 25 goals since one of them last scored! Quite amazing we are still where we are to be honest.

Dembele and Sig look though good I think. We do have Lennon on the bench as well and we may well see him I think at some point to get him ready for the weekend.
