I think a big problem on here at the moment is the threads that don't contribute to debate of any kind e.g. The rep thread & music thread.

They attract all of the posters but the posts don't contain any opinion or value just "rep" OR a video with a song.

 

The Music threads a great thread (IMO) but then that's because I'm into my music. The title is hardly misleading as with the Rep thread. I couldn't care less about Rep but I have no problem with it as I simply don't go on the thread They might not contain opinion but judging by the number of posts on those threads I'd say they add value to lots of the board.

What I do think might make a difference is having the Welcome thread back so new members have an obvious starting point and don't feel like there are cliques they can't get in to.

All I can say about the Music thread is that it's probably the most INCLUSIVE thread on the board (ask a guy like Treat). All are welcome whether to just flick through or post their own. Never any bickering or hassle on there.

 

Music thread is a great thread and like Billy say all rivalry is forgotten and everyone gets on. I think it's good that there are a few threads to escape to. If I'm pissed off with someone I often go to the Pub or Music thread instead of having a go. They are my online lithium.

 

I never really go on the music thread but I'm not that into music either. Despite popping on there I'm not too fussed about the rep thread either. Does anyone ever look at the fixtures thread that Hash does?

 

I check the fixtures sometimes, handy to have it there but the rep thing is silly.

The photo thread hardly drums a debate but that's staying put The rival thread is quite popular too. occasionally gets debate going but it's rare

 

Maybe if it was renamed to 'Zingy's Rival Watch' it might bring in a few more punters from the attraction of the name.

P.S Mash's thread is pointless.
