Oh and how the hell was Neur not booked for wasting time after our second goal? The ref did not have any major calls make, but I thought his performance was utterly ****.
Walcott wasn't offside either in the second half when he was through on goal, that was a poor decision by the linesman, unlucky for us on that 1....As for the main ref, he was a ****.
****ing hell Kyle nobody is 'blaming' the referee for us going out, but it's perfectly acceptable to point out where he made mistakes.
Not blaming the ref for the result, I am? Just do not understand how Neur escaped a booking for what he did. The ref was poor for me, he did not let the game flow and was way to happy to blow his whistle.
Sorry A87, i like you too, but: It's OK to blame the linesman, he was a fat bald ****, and i appreciate all insults hurled in his direction, but don't blame the referee!!
Aye, he was a bit crap, but we've overcome poor reffing performances before, we can't use it as an excuse. And it's still not as bad as that **** of a ref in the Barca game a couple of years ago.
I don't think the ref cost us the game, but I do think he was poor, and gave many decisions against us, plus it should've been more than 3 minutes added, 4 minimum at least. Up to 2 minutes was wasted with the goal. And with all of Bayern's time wasting, our subs, their subs, and a moment when Giroud went down and needed treatment, that for ****ing sure was more than 2 minutes, so I don't see how it was ever 3 minutes.
Basically everyone is in agreement about the ref except kyle? who seems to be having some sort of breakdown about it.
We're not ****ing scousers!! We need to hold ourselves accountable when we lose, and not blame everyone but us. Hence my dislike of blaming referees. We aren't scousers, ergo, we should know better.
No-one is blaming the ref. But it's fine for people to comment on the refs performance. And he could have been much better!
Another amazing about this performance was that in terms of our attacking play, we were nowhere near our best and we still nearly pulled off one of the greatest comebacks in CL history. It was a truly strange game.
Am I allowed to mention that there were 27 free kicks in the second half, one goal, 4 substitutions and plenty of time wasting by Bayern yet only 3 minutes of stoppage time added on?
In the CL, they ALWAYS add on 3 minutes in the end no matter what, compared to the PL, where they normally always add on 4 minutes.
For me, it was all about lack of quality from our midfield and forwards in key moments. Even Rosicky was sloppy, and Ramsey? What can I say., a promising attack on the edge of their box, ball goes to Ramsey, he fails to psot the run and passes the play to nobody .... and 20 seconds later Bayern win a corner. Bayern's finsihing was awful, which means we got off lightly, though I was happy to see Fabianski get a good old work out. Taking Walcott off for Gervinho. Replacing one under-performing over hyped youngster in Ramsey with another one (Oxo). If I sound negative it's because it the tie, last the one against Milan last year and Barca the year before sums us up ..... we know we aren't good enough to win, but we go out in heroic fashion, thinking we actually have a team with big potential. Truth is both Milan and Munich knew they had teh tie won against us. As a supporter I want us to win every game and beat the Spurs. But I really hate to think of us getting more of the same drivel next season. Personally I think the players Wenger hoped would blossom into match winners, the cheap signings no one else wanted, are never going to be teh fulcrum of a team. I don't even rate Jack Wilshere as a top European player, just the best of a very much below average crop of English players throughout the leagues. I don't care if we don't win a trophyt next season, but I do want us to be competitive, and be genuine contenders and reverse the trend of the last 4 years.
