We are the only team this season to keep a clean sheet at the Allianz this season in any competition - top defensive display - kosc is the main man. Oh and Robben being very respectful towards Arsenal in his after match comments.
Cheers for the support, but this was normal reffing for us. The Theo offside, the soft fouls against us, the fouls not given for us (comparison of the refs decisions), the diving, cheating, timewasting, etc.
I didn't think you had an account on here before the first game. So how would you know what I had to say about it ???
great effort by arsenal tonight and bad luck on not going through...the home game let you down but a great try anyway...see you next game..
Well played you guys. Surprised me, and I suspect, yourselves. Bayern looked complacent, bordering on arrogant and almost payed for that. Having said that, I hope you've worn yourselves out and get stuffed by Swansea at the weekend
No worries. It's the same for all our teams in Europe away from home though I am Gooner. I would say the more frustrating thing for Arsenal supporters is turning in a performance like that when your backs is up against the wall, when a near impossible task is required. If only Arsenal had started well at the Emirates rather than let Bayern run amok for the first opening 20 minutes you would of been the only English club side left flying the flag.
Piskie i was a guest and I like to read people's input as I have been for sometime now, before i decided to leave a contribution of my own.
So thats the first time bayern have lost in 24 games and the first time this season in any competition that a team has kept a clean sheet at bayerns ground. I think anyone slating the performance needs to re-evaluate what they expect. No-one gave us a chance and we came away with a 2-0 win only going out on the away goal rule.
Piskie despite what you may think I'm new to this forum hence my username, but I do tend to read other user posts. And I find you to be one of the most intresting, but also one of the most controversial too. Like in the recent derby for instance where you claimed you belive the current Arsenal team man for man hands down is better than Tottenham's naturally i beg to differ. Even though I wouldn't go along with the paper's and so called pundits opinion either that a assembled version of both team's would see as much as 7-4 players in Tottenham's favour.
Sad fact. We probably would have gone through if we had a top drawer CF, rather than our sexy donkey. A top drawer CF would have scored that chance at the emirates, and not wildly snatched at a shot from 40 yards out when there was a good counter attack on. Hopefully the next manager will adress this issue.
