No doubt about that OS - Giles and Bremner did more to bring the British game down to the gutter during the 70's than any Jack-booted skin head yobs. Cheating, spitting vicious, thugs on the pitch - and somehow managed to keep a general reputation for being 'great footballers'. Sounds a bit familiar to a certain red-kitted striker in the PL..... And just noticed that I have been left behind in the Green Bar stakes!! All that brown-nosing to get out of the red and I get by-passed after taking the evening off!! At least I now don't have to hide from my treachery!!!
We had a number of posters neg repped after the Liverpool game. We have taken this up on the Moderators Board as a result a couple of moderators with very high rep points have come onto the Spurs board to redress the balance with some positive rep. Thanks are due to Poshminx & mustyfrog.
Yep, I had neg rep with the comment "poo". since then it's shot up for no apparent reason. The repping system is bizarre. It doesn't in any way indicate how well respected someone is, which is should.
You're right Roo it doesn't but on the other hand I don't agree with respected Spurs posters getting neg repped by planks from other boards and neither do the majority of mods across the forum. It's the rep brothels on some boards that have led to this situation. IMO we would be better off without it but that's the owners decision so for better or worse we are stuck with it.
Here's hoping that with rep being so easy to get (if one really wants to), that out of boredom, users don't end up resorting to a wumming competition to see who can lose it the quickest. It'd be carnage.
If you visit the Liverpool board for example and wind them up then you can expect buckets of neg rep and good luck! But if they come on the Spurs board and do it, different matter. I for one will take it up provided it's undeserved.
I got that too. At least your name rhymes with it I don't think anyone really takes rep seriously but it was good of Spurf to get it sorted out as there has been a fair bit of talk about rep on this board recently. Previously I don't think anyone had noticed.
I got neg repped by the same plank I think - daydodoewhatever - with the same tag 'poo'. Ironic, as he apparently had also fallen foul of the same Pool mod as I had, so we should have been on the same side. SAD......

Same here - DayDoDoeDontDayDoe demonstrating that John Bishop isn't the only person to disprove the fallacy that Liverpool is a hotbed of comedy... Still, it's fun to go from -28,000 to +17,000 overnight. Now, which Mouser should we systematically strip of all rep to prove a point?
