Nah, though i wish i would have! There was a three hour summary on Red Bulls TV channel Servus TV (austrian TV channel). But even on TV it was fantastic to watch, they showed amazing cars including a Legend F1 cars race.

I'm not sure this has been mentioned elsewhere on not606 but it is rumoured that while the Red Bull glitterati were celebrating the opening of Mateschitz's Ring their test driver, Neel Jani, was off doing some straight line aero testing in Spain, which (he tempo-tweeted*) "really worked my neck out" due to all the "high speed cornering."

They should just ban all in season testing. That's at least two teams who are bending the rules now. Also, what a stupid thing for the lad to Tweet.

 

You're not using any of the airfield. All the best tracks start on abandoned airfields.

he loves sport, and motorsport especially it seems, I would actually prefer it if he called it The Mateschitz Ring. always liked the circuit. drop Monaco for it and i'll be happy.

 

It's a shame Red Bull didn't call themselves Rusty then it'd be the Rusty Ring
