Calling them bottlers is a bit daft considering they're still a head of us, and we've been through a dodgy patch of our own. We've just seen how poor City can be in our last 3 away days. Something we can't afford to do again. Cardiff's fixtures aren't straight forward, but neither are ours. I think they'll have enough to turn it around. I don't want Leicester making up ground on us.
Agreed, don't get me wrong, if City are in the position to go for the title then i want them to go for it. I've just seen Cardiff's fixtures and they aren't straight forward- bit like ours. Momentum is a massive thing at this point in the season and City have been on off since December. If Leicester had won that match last night they might have gained a lot of confidence. As it is, if they lose and we win this weekend, i think that's them out of it. But don't count on it.
Not daft at all. They have won just one of the last 5 games. Hull City have WON 4 of our last 6 games and yet some fans and media are pressing the panic button. That Burnley win will calm any nerves that the players may have had now. As for Cardiff City they were 10 points clear not so long ago and the world and his wife already had them in the PL with the championship title. Last nights game between Cardiff and Lesta had 2 big pluses imo. 1) That late goal for Cardiff will have made Lesta feel like they had lost the game at the end. 2) Cardiff look to have lost capt and start defender Mark Hudson again after it was his first game back from injury. CC go to the Wendies saturday and that wont be easy at all. Ive just got this feeling that Cardiff City are cracking again. Lets make the cracks holes eh ?
Any one in the top 6 can still win the league . Though of course WE will..... Must be a few of us on here with decent bets on as well..
Think this is the case with a lot of northern clubs - the media hate us, whether because they have got it in their thick skulls that the more "London derbies" there are the better for the PL, or is it that to do the interviews for their articles they have to travel further, or that London managers are considered higher quality (look at the love-in with Venables and Redknapp to name 2). Or is it that the media can't believe that anything good goes on outside the Watford gap - imagine what the London snidey media will be like if we get the city of culture.
I don't go with this that we have been through a dodgy patch, in both the Bolton and Palace games Brucey set the team up to go for the win. We got caught in the first 9 minutes at Bolton by a fast improving team, and at Palace the penalties gave them the lift. I only just came back to the area and having been to the Blackburn/Birmingham games, and if that is going through a dodgy period then lets have more of it. Brucey rightly shored things up at Burnley and we got the result we needed. We are not going through a dodgy period, just need to be more defensive on our travels for the last 4 games we have away. In Bruce I trust.
There are 46 games throughout the season. You were dire against us twice and yet you're 9(?) points clear. Cardiff were also dire against us twice and yet they're 13 points clear.
totally agree, 46 games is nowhere near enough to get a true reflection of the different teams ability and competence. next year make it 92 then whoever goes up can be "dire" against you 4 times haha!
So that must mean that Leicester have been dire five times more than Hull and more than six times more than Cardiff! Thanks for the clarification...DH
