To be honest there is no real reason. Just one of those horses ive never taken to. Not the case now but early in his career i thought he was wrapped in cotton wool a bit by connections. And i don't like all the talk that he was never at his best at cheltenham last year and all the excuses made for his defeat when in my opinion he and binocular lost last years race because their jockeys completely disregarded all the other horses and got what they deserve. I recognize Hurricane fly as the best 2m hurdler since the mighty Istabraq but have just never been with him.
Anyone else slightly underwhelmed by the Champion Chase today? Hugely uncompetitive championship race but I guess you can't blame the big black aeroplane for that. For some small interest I've backed him to win by under 7 lengths at 4s and think that's a fair price as even though Sizing Europe isn't getting any younger he's probably the best horse the aeroplane has faced over fences. Just gutted he's not running tomorrow though! I've decided to convince myself that the first favourite can oblige in addition to the 2 'good things'. 1.30 Back in Focus 11/4. Concerned about the ground not being soft enough for him though but hope he can tough it out. 2.05 the Ponty one. Interesting to see WH took him on early doors at 2-1. I've just had significantly more than 50 on him at 3/10 - playing up my Hurricane Fly winnings. 3/10 on this fella really is buying money.
Also ginger. I dont think its common knowledge but HIGHLAND LODGE was found to have an ulcer after its last run. I am assured that its better now. They are expecting a very good run.

Keep an eye out for Another Sensation in the Fred Winter. Was going by far the best when unseating at Sandown under a Tender ride from AP McCoy. Looks like there could be plenty more to come from this one. 14/1 with SkyBet.
