Others have already said but this is a MUST win. A draw will feel like a loss for me. Hopefully a repeat performance of our game at Craven Cottage will be nice. Team I'd like: Lloris, Naughton, Dawson, Vertonghen, Ekotto Holtby, Dembele Lennon, Bale, Sig Defoe Subs: Friedel, Walker, Caulker, Gallas, Carroll, Parker, Deuce* *If fit, otherwise Adebayor. Huddlestone and Livermore in reserve if need be. I've started Holtby over Parker as I think Scotty's looking too tired in games lately, I know he's getting on a bit but when it's coming to 75ish mins he looks really jaded and his passing has still been very below-par in my opinion, so I'd like Holtby given a chance alongside Mousa and see how that works. Also dropped Walker, I know bar 'Pool his form started to pick up but there's just been far too many mistakes now to constantly warrant a starting position and I really do think some time out of the team could do him good. He's still a young lad and perhaps I've/ we've expected too much from him after his impressive year last season but I just think the other Kyle surely deserves a chance now to impress in his favoured role. Hopefully BMJ will do us a favour and field a reserve or youth team But in all seriousness we should win this, we're in good form despite the loss to 'Pool and I think we'll have too much for Fulham if we play like we can. 2-0 Spurs. Gylfi and Defoe the scorers. COYS!!!
it was inevitable though! how was he ever going to break into that team?! Agreed. Fine to bring on to tighten things up when we have a lead to defend (presuming our final 10mins "throwing it away" days are over), but no longer than 10 mins. The other 80-85 mins of the game need to be used for making chances and scoring goals. There's a serious impact on the team creatively when he plays any major part.
Wouldn't be quick to drop Parker - and certainly not for perceived tiredness. He was exceptional against Inter in the first leg and certainly played his part in the NLD.
Six points from the next three games would be par for the course. Having heard the word "hamstring" and Lennon, I'm going to assume he can't go the rest of the year, though I certainly hope I'm wrong. I have the feeling if he does start, he'll either play "with the handbrake on" and not be effective, or re-injure himself. Lloris, Naughton, Dawson, Vertonghen, Ekotto Parker, Dembele Bale, Gylfi, Walker? Defoe/Adebayor I just don't know who you start on the right, but I want the other 10 players to stay nearly the same as they've been on our good run. Adebayor isn't a right-sided forward, Dempsey doesn't really fit in to Spurs' game, and, I think, is better on the left, Holtby's not right sided either. I'm very tempted to put Carroll in and move Dembele up to midfield, but I'd rather have the team stay as near as possible to what it was before the Liverpool game.
did'nt get any of the six against Sutton,John Faulkner, kept him quite, and that led to Revie Signing him.In his first game he broke his knee, never played for the first team again, and moved to Luton
Would'nt say he was useless,he was a good non-league defender,i think he played for the England non-league side
He was a complete **** - fitted perfectly into the Leeds team of that era. And to sum him up, our own beloved Pat Jennings decked him off the ball at Elland Road (71?). Now you have got to be some sort of prick to wind our Pat up!!
He wasn't the biggest **** at Leeds, there were plenty of them.....Bremner, Giles, Hunter, Clarke. Too many to name, but Giles was the worst, a real nasty piece of work.
Pat,my favorite ever keeper, when he first played i though he was a bit dodgy, but he became one of the world's best, probably the best after Bank'sy's accident
BMJ and Berbatov coming back to say hi. That's all we need... This is probably the most crucial game of the season so far. In the past a game like last weekend's would have have derailed our season. I hope we are made of sterner stuff this year; I get the feeling AVB might be the difference this time around. He seems to have really got inside the players' heads. I hope so. This is one of the games in this run that simply must to yield 3 points for us.
I think Fulham will be well up for this and Spurs will have to play very well to take all three points. I wonder how much of an effect Thursday's game in Milan will have on the players though. So far, we've had five wins and three defeats in the games immediately after our European adventures.
My view on Mick Jones was in its basic form, he was a consistant 1 in 3 striker at Leeds, that makes him a good player in my book, a nob like the rest of Leeds team at the time, but he hit the onion bag enough, only got 10 caps though.
My view on Mick Jones is he was a great guitarist. Just a shame he decided to produce Hard-Fi and Pete Doherty's various ****e projects, really...
