Your description sounds a lot like us Brynner. That's exactly what I think won't happen this time. I feel certain we'll win
I don' t think this will be a walkover at all. Not only those results but almost got City in the beginning, if it wasn't for RVP you would have had another scalp added as well. It will be tough but hoping that you come out attacking to leave space for Coutinho, Suarez, and Sturridge.
game worries me, we have form for getting a good result followed by a disappointing one, see this being a Baggies Villa game where we get punished for not taking our opportunities. hope i have jinxed it and we have another hat full of goals in our favour.
Well spotted. I was clearly looking at Sunderland on the table who are six points clear of Wigan! That has now been changed.
I just have a feeling that we've broken the vicious circle. Sincerely hope I'm right. Everyone tell Bluff to STAY AWAY FROM THE LIVE MATCH
Im following all of the worlds major religions this week, to ensure our run continues. (Not quite a fair share to each religion as I always seem to spend more time of Rastafarianism and the fertility cults.)
Hi! Another Saints fan, like most of our posters, not expecting to get a result, everything points to a comfortable Liverpool win, the trouble is that Saints rarely do what you expect them to do, that's just being a wee bit optimistic. Suarez is guaranteed to see red this week, but that will be the shirt of the player marking him as he leaves him for dead! Good luck, but if you can be generous and give us a point we would be forever in your debt!
Cannot see anything but a Liverpool win. Actually got a £20 bet on it with a mate - for some reason he really thinks we can get something. If you turn up, and I guess Suarez in particular, then you stroll home with three points. But I guess if you play like City did against us last month - and we play like we did in that game - then we could take something from the game. If we do win, we can maybe start looking forward to a relaxing end to the season after all, especially as Villa and QPR play each other. But yeah, that wont be happening! Putting your attacking threat to one side, it does worry me how utterly dominate Skrtel and Agger were against Rickie up on your place. Unlike a lot of defenders to date, those two just didn not give him a sniff. Fingers crossed that Carra plays. Good luck for the rest of the season, after Saturday. Always had a big soft spot for Liverpool, and an even bigger one for Gerrard.
s that Mary Magdalene? Would love to sort out/be orted out bu that Monica Bellucci. Thats my sort of saint
Goes without saying that I'd like us to win.. but for some reason all I can see is a big'ole banana skin.. If we've turned corner number 5,638 then we won't slip up here and follow-up a good result against Spurs with "hopefully" 3pts here! I like the footy Southampton try to play and would like to see them stay up
Southampton play football in the right way which could play right into our hands. Obviously there's the physical side of them (Lambert) which could worry us and our defence which is pretty poor in the air but I feel we are much better equipped to go to Southampton or Wigan and win than we are to going away to Stoke or Villa and winning.
St Mary's on a Saturday is never a good place for a team to come. It will be cold and the ball isn't going to move around that well. Suarez and Coutinho should see Liverpool through though 1-2. Why's it an important game... Liverpool have nothing to play from apart from finishing above their rivals...
You need to check out their remaining fixtures. Winning nine out of nine is feasible. And if they do that, they could yet get 4th.
1. great to have a proper match thread with some southampton fans on! its rare to get rival fans on! 2. i am very impressed with lambert so i think his movement can always cause issues. 3. i think its all about possession and chances. I think won't see southampton sitting off and going for a draw here i think will have a lot of the ball deep and it'll be down to whether we can get it to coutinho and then if suarez takes his first chance or not. 4. i have a thought that southampton aint half as bad as thier position suggests. its all about ability to defend.

Not everyone appreciates what Lambert brings to us. Yes he is a cracking penalty penalty taker and an obvious aerial target. But he is so much more than that, as you clearly know. This is a good article, from last month, which highlights his creative side http://www.football365.com/f365-features/8527397/WhoScored-Feature
I think winning 9 out of 9 is a bit of a stretch I think winning 6 or 7 out of 9 is definitely feasible though.
