Expecting defeat or confident (hoping) for a point at least? DTLW
Expecting defeat but hoping we can find our form again. I just don't know where it's gone and am worried about our lack of threat in front of goal.
I see Mayuka has shorter odds of scoring than Lallana, kind of sums up his goal threat at the moment. We will know if we are struggling if Downing scores
------------------Boruc--------------------- Clyne-------Fonte-------Yoshida-----Shaw ----------Schneid-------Cork-------------- Punch--------Davis----------Lallana------- ----------------Lambert------------------- Subs: Davis, Hoover, Richardson, J-Rod, Gaston, Mayuka, Guly Assuming clyne and davis are fit. Davis and Lallana replaced by Gaston and J-Rod early 2nd half, Mayuka is defensively solid for a bit of pace or guly on at 75mins for punch.
Have voted for a Saints win on the Liverpool forum (well, I had to, didn't I?), but will be ecstatic with a draw.
Didn't see the match so can't disagree, based my opinion on previous matches. Apart from the goal didn't think he was fantastic starting against QPR and davis was previously doing well. Would be happy for him to start.
I would play: Boruc Clyne - Fonte - Yoshida - Shaw Cork - Morgan Rodriguez - Ramirez - Lallana Lambert With a subs bench of: K.Davis, Forren, Richardson, S.Davis, Puncheon, Guly, Mayuka Steven Davis will probably come on for Ramirez after about an hour to keep the pressure up and because Gaston can't last the full 90. Liverpool certainly won't be looking for a point and out men behind the ball like Norwich and QPR did, so it'll be a lot more open and both teams will create chances. If we can pull a performance similar to the Utd or City games out of the bag, we have a great chance of coming away with at least a point. I reckon we could beat them but I'll predict an entertaining 2-2 draw.
Boruc Clyne Fonte Yoshida Shaw Cork Morgan Davis Gaston Jay Lambert In some sort of 4-3-3/4-2-1-3/4-2-3-1/4-2-1-2-1 formation. Davis, Richardson, Hooiveld, JWP, Chaplow, Puncheon, Lallana (Guly or Mayuka could replace Chaplow)
cant see beyond a Liverpool win on this one im afraid. Liverpool are starting to look like a top 6 team and saints looking jaded at the moment....0-3
Would drop lallana and start punch, better defensive positioning and carries a goal threat. Lala's finishing is shocking this year
Boruc Clyne Fonte Yoshida Shaw Cork Schneiderlin Davis Puncheon Lambert Rodriguez Subs: Davis, Fox, Forren, JWP, Lallana, Gaston, Guly. 1-1 with Lambert scoring.
-----------Boruc---------- Clyne--Fonte--Maya--Shaw ----Cork---Schneiderlin---- Puncheon-Ramirez-Rodriguez ---------Lambert---------- 2-1 Liverpool; Puncheon to open the scoring, Suarez to score twice in quick succession. Odds on that exact sequence and scoreline, from William Hill: 330-1.
-----------Boruc------ Clyne-Fonte-Hoovield-Shaw ------Cork--Morgan--------- -Puncheon-Davis-Rodriguez ----------Lambert---------
My personal opinion is that Phil Dowd is the best referee in the Premier League. Excellent, doesn't take any crap from anyone! Very professional!
