Leeds United vs Peterborough United Tuesday 12th March 2013 Elland Road 7:45pm Kick off Leeds United View attachment 22106 A convincing away performance at Selhurst Park against automatic promotion contenders Crystal Palace may have the Leeds fans a bit higher in optimism. A brace from Steve Morison had Leeds minutes away from ending Palace's impressive unbeaten run at home until Glenn Murray stuck a volley home from a Damien Delaney cross. Good performances from the likes of Paul Green and Steve Morison will inject the squad with enthusiasm for the remaining play off charge. Leeds are a very hard team to beat at Elland Road, and with some momentum, Leeds will be expecting to start their charge with victory against the Posh. El Hadji Diouf is also a welcomed return from his recent illness and will most definitely help add to white's firepower. Peterborough United Posh have hit some recent form lately, and it's well needed in order to keep themselves in the Division. With only 2 losses in their last 7 and notable wins over the likes of Leicester, Blackburn and Millwall. Darren Ferguson's side will be looking to take another heavy scalp and lift themselves out of the bottom three. The departure of Posh starlet George Boyd to promotion candidates Hull City was expected to be the beginning of the end for Peterborough but the likes of Lee Tomlin and Dwight Gayle have really stepped up to the mark and put in some very impressive performances. They will need to be at their best in order to come away from Elland Road with anything and will need to stop leaking goals as they're so used to doing in recent Seasons. Special Mention! PoshMinx said she'll post naked pics of herself should Leeds United beat Peterborough. Interesting Facts - Leeds United have won 7 of the last 9 against Peterborough, only losing twice. - Peterborough have lost in the last 3 visits to Elland Road, two in the League and one in the Cup. - Victory for Leeds would complete a 100% record against the bottom five Clubs at home. - Ross McCormack could make his 100th appearance for Leeds United. - Tyrone Barnett is hoping to make his 100th appearance for Peterborough United. Good thread again Candyman Fancy Green to score tonight for us. 2-0 Leeds. We cant sit back on a lead, we've seen that!
I have a feeling we are going to win this one convincingly, we need to... One of those games where we win and we start to get excited about the next two or we lose/draw and once again cry that our season is over
On one level, this should be a cakewalk. Unfortunately, however, Posh have had a few good results of late. S a 2-0 win at home will do very nicely.
Far from it, I just enjoy writing previews. It's always been a hobby. I used to pretend to be a commentator as a kid, and do match previews and reviews for my parents to read. However, I have been called worse. I could be called a Scunthorpe or Grimsby fan...
Have to say Candy man, brilliant thread Cannot see anything but a convincing 2-0 and 3-0 win tonight. Lets hope the couple that Morrison got at the weekend installs enough confidence for him to get a couple more....
Cheers mate When I saw that Leeds and Norwich had agreed a swap deal, Becchio for Morison, I could honestly say that Leeds have come out with the better player there. Hughton is a bit stupid really because taking a gamble on Becchio, who IMO doesn't play very well; he just pops up in the right place at the right time, when you need a prolific striker. Morison is Premier League quality and I wanted him at City. We have Gedo anyways. He's doing the 'bizz.
When you've said that you'll be posting naked pictures of yourself depending on the result, I don't think mentioning tissues is highly advised
I have been negative Norris for many of our matches this season, looking at the Peterborough squad and our recent performances I am going to be gutted if we do not really put on a show tonight. I honestly fancy a big 4-0 or even 5-0 tonight, lets hope I am right, we need to make a statement, anything other than a win and I am back on the season is over wagon.
