Here comes the story of the Hurricane, the one the bookies want to blame, he came up the hill in first place, now the bookies got egg on their face
Fair play, I thought he was well beat along way from home. I would of liked to have seen where Grandouet would have come had he stood up
I'd have feared him more on better ground Shergy, as I suspect he wouldn't have had the resiliance to have toughed it out in the finish. He's a bit of a bridle bunny and that race ended up a battle of the strongest
I wasn't referring to Grandouet - who shouldn't have been running anyway - i was referring to your rather erudite claim that the Fly 'will get turned over'.
Bostonbob.....It just seemed that way, as you highlighted my whole post. I called it wrong big deal! I atleast was gracious enough to say 'fair play' to beef or salmon. You on the other hand, are behaving like an 8 year old who's just won the egg and spoon race at school sports day
Start criticising the best 2 mile hurdler of a generation and you'll get stick fella. No way around that I'm afraid. I think your comment re Grandouet was indicative of an 8 year old trying to take attention away from such obviously misguided opinions pre race. We'll have to agree to disagree
To be fair to Shergar Bob, there were many people who felt that the Fly might not be up to the task in a truly run race. Rock On Ruby's trainer and Jockey also clearly felt that way and tried to gallop the finish out of him. However, like a true champ, he proved all the doubters wrong, including myself I have to confess. Grandouet was going ominously well before he crashed out and who know's what would have happened. I don't think anyone would suggest he would have won but it would have been nice to see what he had left when the Champ took it up. Probably not enough as I'm sure he would be better suited by a sound surface. Well done for keeping the faith and having the confidence to back him. Hope you made a good profit there Bob.
Didn't realise that **** 'King Shergar/manu4life' still posted. I remember when he used to claim he made a living from racing - kept tipping up odds on shots - what a cock!! Anyway, HF, what a horse!!
Shergar you are a ****, end of story. Apologies to all others who may be offended by my choice of words but I have had a great day at the course, made a killing on HF and I'm slightly drunk so couldn't give a **** to be honest
Sorry to hear you have such a low opinion of me. I am not going to be drawn into an argument to prove anything on an anonymous Internet site. It makes no difference to my life whà t people believe
****s can be useful, so il take that as a compliment. Even if it wasn't meant as one. Anyways well done on backing Hurricane Fly
Well I think I'll wrap this one up now! Regardless of what happens during the rest of the week, this race will be the standout highlight of my Cheltenham Festival 2013 and I suspect a few others' highlight too. I wasn't hiding in my support and belief of Hurricane Fly, in the face of popular opinion, over the last few weeks in particular, dismissing his chances. He did show that last year wasn't him at his best, he's rewrite the history books again and I salute a true Cheltenham legend- Hurricane Fly
