Spurs are just running off of confidence and off the back of their first 'world class' player ever.

They have won nothing and will win nothing before Bale ****s off to a club with true and realistic ambition.

Cant wait until the natural order returns and we dont have to put with this ****!

Spurs may be The 'One Direction' of the moment, but we are the ****ing 'Rolling Stones.' and as such think that the more deulded of you spurs fans, (Led by the man with the Fisher Price Lawyers kit.) are absolutely hilarious.

Feel free to reply. I could do with a laugh!

Re-read your post...that should do it. <ok>

...we are the ****ing 'Rolling Stones...

To be fair, the Stones stopped ****ing in the 90s.

Jagger and Wood are now so old, the only reason they take viagra is to stop them "rolling" out of bed.

Not a bad metaphor for 'Pool, I suppose.

You'll always provide us with the comedy gold moments on this forum, Red.

And, remember - we're laughing at you, not with you.

I like the Liverpool/Rolling Stones analogy, actually.
Both way past their best, living off past glories, fronted by an ugly bloke with mouth problems and constantly harking back to what they were.
T-shirts for both are frequently worn by people with no clue about either the team/band or the music/sport, too.
Nice comparison, RB. <ok>

Not so sure that Suarez like anything painted black, though.

If by One Direction you mean upwards, then I'd have to agree with you on that, as well.

The Rolling Stones? You mean a bunch of deluded has-Beens still living on past glories??..

Better than being The Monkee's I suppose. In truth, it should be The Monkee and backing band, who tinkle the odd note now and then. Daydream believer and all that. They've done nothing since the 60's either.

Come on dont delete my posts.

Fair game on here I thought?

I thought I was doing you a favour, it was such a poor wum attempt and only underlined the point I made on your board about Liverpool fans being bitter that we're the better side at the moment and always predicting yourselves to overtake us.

I'm sure you expected the post to get deleted as it looks like you'd copied it so you could post it again so in future don't repost something that's just been deleted.

The difference being that The Monkees aren't still around trying to convince everybody that they're something they used to be!..

I'm sure that it must also irk them that Man Utd, who they have always regarded as their great rivals, now treat them as nothing more than an irrelevance. Or at best, an occasional nuisance.

They can't seem to get their heads around Spurs being a better side than them.

Most Liverpool fans that I know have behaved pretty well since Sunday, but I'm now heartily sick of all of their ex-players spouting ****e in the media.
Is there anyone that's ever played for them that isn't either a pundit or a columnist somewhere?

I noticed Alan Smith's rather unenthusiastic response to the suggestion that they'd be seeing more of Jamie Carragher when he retires at the end of the season.
Perhaps he'll pull a Gary Neville and shock everyone, but this is the only person that the American audience required subtitles for on The Only Way Is Scouse, or whatever it was called.
Understandably a legend at Liverpool FC, but virtually incomprehensible outside of Merseyside.

That's the problem with pundits in general - they played for a very small number of clubs (namely Liverpool, Man Utd, Arsenal, and whichever circle of hell would claim Robbie Savage) which leads to favoritism and bias in their comments, whilst the majority of clubs don't have any pundits affiliated with them so get shat on for things such as having the nerve to beat Man Utd, Arsenal or Liverpool.

I heard that Carragher is an expert on footie facts and figures, a walking encyclopedia in fact. Most of the pundits will be worried about their jos PNP.

Great post from a moderator <ok>

Lets forget our 80 prime and look at the recent past and current.

Over the past 9-10 years we've won a Champions League, FA Cup, Carling Cup, Super Cup, runners up to Champs/FA/League Cup as well as second in the League.

Spurs have won absolutely nothing to date. 1 League Cup? When were your glory days or current success?

You lot take the higher ground and have a pop at us as if you'd actually done something. You havent <ok>

Ah but PNP, we haven't won as much so you can't talk about their banging on about history. Well as long as you ignore the fact that you weren't talking about our history <laugh>

Despite being poor by their standards over the last 20 years they are still more successful and have won only 1 less CL than Man U in that period without being bankrolled by Sky.

The Spurs fans are correct in saying past glories are irrelevant to todays game, but I agree with the Liverpool fans in the sense that being better than them is all well and good but until you cap it off with trophies/success it doesn't mean much.
