Jack Wilshere has picked up an injury and will miss a few games for Arsenal. I like Wilshere and its a shame he is so fragile. But with Wilshere by Arsenal's key influence in midfield this could dent them and give us an extra chance to catch up.

The only game he will definitely miss in the League is Swansea. But Swansea are a team capable of getting at Arsenal.

who knows... look arsenal with whilshire and carzorla and arteta and even ramsey are all similar all going forward and elave gaps. haivng one less might help arsenal by putting in someone who'll defend or solidify more.

    They will miss him though...

Swansea will have the deckchairs out for the rest of the season.

I'm not going to delight in a player's injury but I can't help thinking that this news sounds like very good news for our prospects.

I see a lack of spirit in Arsenal. Apart from Wilshere.

he will miss some key England games which is disappointing. Him and Gerrard were great against Brazil. Maybe Henderson will get a call.

Who are your main CM's? Cleverly, Parker, Gerrard, Wislhere, Lampard? Am I missing someone else from the bench?

Basically these with Barry and Milner but Milner normally goes out wide.

Forgot about Barry but I will always see Milner as a wide player. I know he can do a job in the middle but he seems almost more like a Wingback for me that bombs up and down.

God I hope we don't bring Parker back into the England team! He's crap. Would much rather play Hendo, Gerrard and Cleverly. Although anyone is better. Our midfield in a few years time will be Wilshere, Cleverly and Hendo anyway...

Wilshere's the only Arsenal player with fight in him, so I expect their performance to suffer, especially if they go a goal down.

And with the way Arsenal's defence play then going a goal down is always a good bet.

Parker is a poster boy for Hodgson's England: unambitious and limited. At the Euros Gerrard had to play on the edge of his own 18 yard box because of how deep the rest of the team had dropped. Parker isn't an attacking threat at all. At one point in a friendly we even had Parker AND Barry in the midfield.

Shame for Wilshere as he deserves a break from injury. I love watching players that are as positive as him. I honestly think Allen could look to JW and learn just how effective a bit of positivity can be. I can't see it making much difference to us as I still think the goons have enough (just) to stay above us but it all helps. All I want from us is to keep our own confidence up between now and the end of the season and go in to next year on a bit of a high <ok>
