It seems it is UK media thing. They model their news releases on big events of Emerdale Farm or Corry episodes<laugh> Those shows seem to generate more debate than racism<doh>

At some point you gotta blame the consumer<ok>

What's the general consensus amongst Liverpool fans with regards to you holding onto him?

The Media focus seems to be on Bale and Real Madrid blah blah blah...

I've not seen anything in the media about Suarez, which is surprising to be honest.

Both Rodgers and Suarez keep stating that he's happy at the club, and Rodgers is confident of him staying. But of course, the big test will come when a bid inevitably comes in for him. I'm surprised you haven't seen anything about him potentially moving, it's rumoured that Pep is a big fan of him, and Bayern will bid for him in the Summer.

i reckon both Suarez and Bale will give each club another season personally.

both can move abroad any time as good enough to play for Real,Barca etc but i think both players will want to try and do the best for their current clubs first.

I have a feeling Barca may come calling, I don't think he's leave for anyone else and him n Messi <yikes> Who wouldn't want to play with Messi. Hopefully not this summer though. The only way we will keep him if he keeps this form up is if we are winning the league next year<laugh>

Bale will go to MU or nowhere. Real is a huge risk and he seems like homely lad, seems not the sort to be living the male model Milan or Madrid lifestyle. Ideal replacement for Giggs who has destroyed more families than teams in recent years

Most seem to think he will stay next season but not beyond that unless we improve.

yeah if you've gotten a lobotomy <laugh> Drool...........

Just read the rum diaries on the bog this week AGAIN. <laugh> I fkn love that book, the state of my copy, more worn out and ragged than Rooney's last prostitute.

Pity there are so many sh!t writers in our part of the world especially sports writers, I'd be happy if the BEEB sports just published that book over and over again rather than the sheite we get fed every week. I watch\play sports not read about them

Love that book must have read it 4 or 5 times, hated the film. Insane how a film producer took that book and thought that it needed changing. Depp is supposed to be a fan can't believe he went along with it.

He did both, I liked Fear and Loathing though. I would normally agree on books turned into films there's a fim version of Ask The Dust (Fante) which is one of my favorites but I refuse to watch it.

That's true, I'd heard about the Bayern rumour. But at least it's not been in our faces like bale to Madrid has! it's painful having to read the same speculation over and over...

As 2 of the top talents in British football, I hope that players like Bale and Suarez start setting an example. For too many years, players have been mercenaries, only caring about money. What both clubs have here, are 2 players who love their football and are completely happy.
Hopefully they'll take a look at transfers like Modric to Madrid (well... the Madrid bench) and realise that the grass isn't always greener.
Both players have the opportunity to become legends at their respective clubs, in teams which will be built around them.
It'd be nice to see more "legends" in the game.
I don't know enough about the FFP rules, but hopefully there's some sort of a knock on affect that will help us to see more of this in football. - I doubt it though.

If players like these two are sold, football is just going to feel like one giant loop.
Get a good player in --> plays very well for a season or two, and turns into a great player --> sold to a "massive club" --> process starts again.

Clubs that aren't at the very top of their league are never going to win anything if the best players keep leaving and going to the same old "forces" in football.
Clubs like Spurs and Liverpool must keep hold of their assets. - You've only got to look at how Arsenal are finding things much tougher, as each season they've sold proven top quality.

Huth got away with stamping on Suarez's chest because the FA said they can only punish players reported by the ref, well Ferdinand might get done for his 'off the ball' with Torres, if the FA fine/ban Ferdinand LFC should put a complaint in.....one law for Suarez and another for the rest.<whistle>

Suarez is not leaving in the summer unless it is an offer FSG can't refuse. He doesn't want to go but if they say he can talk to someone like Barca it may change his mind, NOT FOR SALE should always be the response to stuff being bandied about even if there is a price they will accept.

We're not spending big in the summer, if Suarez was going we'd have to be looking at spending a fair amount to replace him.

The guy thrives on controversy and he's got plenty to run off of in the PL. besides, he's having the time of his life playing in the PL, he's not ready to give that up just yet, still so many bitter people to prove totally 100% WRONG:)<ok>

FSG don't need to sell. Can we all remember the fact that City offered 24-26million for Agger and we turned it down!! The only way Suarez will be leaving this summer is if he forces it through

I think a ridiculous offer would make FSG blink though. Liverpool is not his last stop I reckon, it's a case of when, Unless we challenge for the title next year, which won't happen cos

The year after next year is our year<ok>
