Game of opinions Strov and my opinion is that he had a very good game indeed.

I can't understand how anyone can say he wasn't MOTM.

    1) Hull City's back 3
    2) George Boyd
    3) Stephen Quinn

Brilliant display of solid and effective tactical awareness today. Very well done.

I didn't watch the whole game, just sparingly but I'm surprised to see Boyd as MOM... could someone describe his performance?
I went to the palace game and he was ****e. I rate him, don't get me wrong but he was useless. He's not the fastest on the pitch by a long mile and since he didn't score I'm not sure why he deserves it.

Not at his creative best, played a few good through balls. But he worked tirelessly, battled and did the basics right. He rarely gave the ball away and was generally solid.

For the one bit of real quality in the game (the goal) then it has to be

    1) Quinn
    2) Simpson
    3) Koren

nb. if the game had finished 0-0 then i would have gone for 1)Chester - 2)Hobbs - 3)Boyd.

    1. Macca - kept 'em honest in the first half, got 'em steadied
    2. Boyd - worked hard throughout the game - distribution excellent, hardly put a foot wrong
    3. Pappa Bruce - excellent substitutions at the appropriate times - Simmo would be the turning point, with Koren's foresight..

Nobody's mentioned the through ball yet that Chester played along the ground from his own half that put Boyd through on goal for his shot that ended up being a corner. That was absolutely amazing for a CB.

    1. Chester
    2. Boyd
    3. Simpson

Simmo didn't just set up the goal. His hold up play gave our players the chance to get up the field and start creating chances!

Have you ever been to a game this season where MACCA has played. If you have and that is your conclusion then I cant see where your reasoning is. Chester has fallen out of form that he showed last season and Hobbs is still getting over a very serious injury and is not up to his form of last season as yet.

    Boyd made fewest errors
Chester best of a decent back 3
Simpson only on for 25 minutes but made something happen

    1. the fans who made the trip; it was on TV and the weather looked ugly
    2. Simpson - made the goal
    3. Meyler - seemed to be everywhere
    4. Boyd - never stopped, always available

not seen them in awhile; not a great performance, Brady, Elmo and Gedo were poor and the defence shaky at times; but a win's a win.

Was tempted to but A.Bruce in, just because of the effort and the extra layer that he gave us. But... perhaps a few too many wayward passes :p

    Boyd
    Chester
    Brady

Thought we saw both sides of Boyd tonight, attacking wise and he showed he can be a big help defensively. A perfect away performance, was exactly what we needed.

Yes I have, thank you. Macca is now a good defender. However having read the comments from the last 20 games or so you'd think he was the best defender in the world by a mile. He isn't.

He did a decent bit of skill a few games back - people cummed in their pants for hours. However, Chester throws little dummies left, right and centre game in, game out and no one says anything, but thats normal for him.

I agree Macca is much improved, but everytime he plays well it's the same old 'Macca by a country mile', 'Macca and no one else', 'Macca shag my wife i'm not worth it.'

I maintain he made one serious mistake last night when he rushed out of defence (for what reason i don't know) and left an attacker on the edge of our area with no one within 10 yards. A decent player would have slotted him in and we'd be 1-0 down.

    He's good, he ain't God.

Surprised how few people have mentioned Elmo in their top three.
