I've seen your posts on the Liverpool board, got a few Blue mates and try to be objective and realistic (to a point anyway).

Personally hoping for a JB win this weekend, but to be honest I just hope we have another season like 2010/2012; I lost interest in F1 for a few years when one person and team wrre unbeatable. Alonso was the 'saviour' then, maybe he will be again...... anyone but Vettel......

Welcome periguin. If you feel like it, the "F1 Welcome thread" has got a short questionnaire we've been using to get to know people. It gives us an idea of what kind of insult will be effective. <laugh>

Just seen some betting odds for the race - Button 2nd favourite on 4-1 - they obviously know something we dont!

It has probably got more to do with his past record in Aus than McLarens current prospects i fear.

If it rains fully, i'm going for a Ferrari to win, if it's changeable, i'll play safe and say Button.

Interesting.... widens the range of possible winners if that forecast is correct... maybe even a podium for Hamilton?

Call me rash but I've gone for the Hamilton win!

I'm not normally this optimistic but we have seen the Merc very fast in similar temperatures; plus of all the drivers with a point to prove, he probably has the biggest. Obviously, I'm partisan too :)

Realistically though, your podium prediction is probably nearer the mark.

I'm resisting the temptation to go plough a crop circle or two.. Loved to see Hamilton win, but still sticking with my original prediction that Alonso will take the season opener.

I can see Mclaren really struggling in qualifying. Temperatures will be low and it still looks like rain will affect it. I can't see them winning the race either despite how good Button and Mclaren have been here. The tyre deg was poor in cold conditions and unless they have somehow found that perfect setup to help unlock it's potential I see them fighting for 5th and 6th.
