It's like many of us have expected, Podolski has been carrying a knock. Still has it in fact. If Ches and Jack are out, we should rest Pod and save him for the run in. Because we have no chance in hell with Mannone in net. Taken from https://twitter.com/Podolski10
Anyway Fabianski Jenkinson Verm/Kos Mert Gibbs Arteta Ramsey Rosicky Theo/Oxo Pod/Giroud Santi If the rumors are to be believed
I think we should bring back the midfield trio of Arteta,Diaby and Cazorla for this game seeing as Jack is not going to make it. Our best performances as a team this season (Liverpool and City away) have come when those three have played in the same midfield.
I'm well aware thx. Point being he has been playing 30 to 60 minutes per game for the past month because of a knock. He still had it on March 9th, which means he certainly still has it today. In fact, it may be something he will need to have operated one day if rumours are to be believed.
With all the injury news, my revised team for this game. Chensey Jenkinson Mertesacker Koscielny Gibbs Arteta Diaby Cazorla Walcott Giroud Rosicky
on Sagna and Diaby... Sagna is not available, Diaby is back in the squad. He has a test [on Wednesday]. Again, he is a bit short but hopefully he can travel. Doesn't sound promising especially when we have the might of Bayern away. We should stick with Rosicky, at least he's actually been availble, albit on the bench. Pod up front and Rosicky, Cazorla and Arteta in the middle.
A midfield of Arteta,Cazorla and Rosicky is too attack minded for me. I know we have to chase the game, but at the same time, I do not want to see us get slaughtered, because that might affect the confidence and morale of the squad going into the Swansea game.
Rosicky is pretty decent at tackling and Arteta is already used as a defense minded midfielder. It's not like we will be playing Stoke where we need a big powerful DM type. Also I'd rather not have Diaby limp off after the first 10 minutes and lose one of our subs, when he is "a bit short" of fitness. It's not like he hasn't done this before!
Rosicky is the bom dizzle at tackling. He's VERY underappreciated at it. Arteta & Rosicky with Cazorla pushing on has huge experience in big games, massive talent, and creativity. I'd definitely play those 3 together.
Loved the video and I like Rosicky's energy, but I do not see the balance in a midfield three of Rosicky,Arteta and Cazorla. Our best performances as a team this season have been in the away games against Liverpool and Man City. And our midfield three for those games were Arteta,Diaby and Cazorla. The problem is that Diaby as we know is made out of glass, but just when you do not expect it, he can pull out a great performance from nowhere. So, that's why I would be tempted to risk him for the game against Bayern on Wednesday.
Exactly, no idea why people don't want Rosicky to play and keep on bringing up a player that hasn't been relevant for Arsenal in years. Play those three and give it a go, it's not like we are defending a lead or something. Play to our stengths I say.
What has been our best performances this season? Unless, you want to bring up other examples, for me it's clearly Liverpool and Man City away. In both games, our midfield bossed the game and the midfield three was Arteta, Diaby and Cazorla. There was a clear balance in that midfield and it worked beautifully. Even with Jack in the midfield, we have not found that same balance.
