Not me! Footballers have too much time on their hands and tend to be really good players. Played in a four ball with Danny Murphy & David Stockdale when they were at Foolham and got totally taken apart by them! Also Jimmy Bullard is a fantastic player.
yeah for me as well although a draw won't be the end of the World but if we lose we need to win the harder games and hope people drop points.
Agree too. In my mind a win takes us to near safety, a draw is not terminal but a loss.....dies not bear thinking about. COYRsssss!
I'm amazed he could play a round without getting injured as a result, or play one sober. But then I'm amazed Terry could play around and not get injured as a result as well.
I don't understand what you mean Belfast. Care to elaborate?? Is this going back to the Hughes out campaign? Thats a long time ago. We acted late in sacking him but we acted and are now reaping some benefit. Whether it's enough or not remains to be seen. BTW Your posts on here are few and far between these days. Good to see you posting again.
Did you miss the Reading goal because that could have been the worst goal Ive seen conceded in the PL, it was hungover pub team stuff.
ah bless http://hobnob.royals.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=118047 It was Harry's fault Matt Lucus got sacked not the fact that they are probably the worst Premiership team ever? But what should we expect from plastic Chelsea fans.
I agree it was awful, but I think the 2nd Villa goal ran it close, reminded me of the goal Reading conceded against Everton at the Madejski whereby there was not one, not two, but three of four chances to clear the ball away from the danger area and they failed
According to beeb website Reading are unlikely to appoint a new manager before this weekends game.....looks like he was sacked without them having anyone lined up to replace him.....so whoever it is will only have 8 games to save them from the drop......really does not make any sense this sacking.
i don't like to see any manager sacked as i think sometimes clubs act either too soon or too late. I liked Matt Lucus, not beccause he was 'dull/boring' or a 'yes man' but because he took a crap team up and without money gave it a go and got on with it. For that you have to give him credit. Obviously the dumb Russian chairman thinks they are Chelsea and should higher/fire at the wrong time. To not have someone in place means this was a 'rash' decision, something i think Madjetski would not have done. The Reading fans may moan but it was them who were leaving with 15 mins to go and missed the 'Le Ratnose' goals. It was them who called him 'McDonut' and constantly moaned on the radio and message boards and like Wolves before them, they will get what they wanted... For me Reading have not been good enough all season. The team is full of Championship type players and none of them would get in the QPR team and that tells you something? The Board are full of crap and probably only use the club to 'launder' the dodgy Russians money. they were never going to spend or support the manager, that was evident in Jan when they had their chance to turn things around but they brought in a bloke called 'Hope' (sorry but that is funny). They will go down and Matt Lucus would have been the perfect guy to bring them up again. I now hope they bring in Hughes.
All they need now is for Di Canio to be appointed, put everyone offside and relegation will be complete.
I think some of us should be a little careful when saying things like "Reading are the worst team in the league". We are currently the worst team in the league and are a long way from being anywhere near safe. As for the Reading situation......I do fear that they may benefit from "new manager syndrome".
Agreed ...................... That is why I wouldn't mind PDC be appointed ................... to our benefit we hope!
