QPR are looking good after back to back wins but one thing I noticed on Saturday is Harry looked really positive in his interview, a big smile on his face as if they had already done it. The reality is that they're still bottom, 4 points from safety. I was reminded of something NA used to say - don't get too up when you win, don't get too down when you lose. A loss away to Villa is going to send them crashing back to earth with a tricky tie away to Fulham to follow. I don't go along with the defintive points pedictions that managers, pundits and fans alike all seem to make at this time of year. The reality is that we have abosltuely no idea how many points we will need to stay up. The likely range is probably 36-40 with a pretty equal likelihood of each and a small likelihood of it being outside this range. But from Saints perspective, Wigan and Villa play each other on the final day and can't both take 3 points, and we have a very winnable fixture at home to Stoke plus a good goal difference. I really hope it doesn't come to this, but I will be surprised if we go into the final day without it being in our own hands.
Where we are at the end of the season is in our hands - what the teams around us may or may not do is not so important as us getting points. At the moment; we have taken six points from the last 8 games - that is relegation form. I know we have been dominant in alot of our recent games and should have gotten more from them, but once again we have to make our own luck in those circumstances and it would be bloody useful if we got more goal attempts on target!! Over the season we have put ourselves where we are by failing to protect leads in some many games we have played in. Unless we can start to generate points from games where we have had the ascendency - this could be a painful few weeks.
Romsey. Important thing is it in our hands. The three at the bottom have to rely on us or Villa slipping up.

I would agree with that, but for the bloody international break. We'll probably lose to Liverpool, and then the break will derail any chances we have of getting anything from Chelsea. Breaks don't suit us. We can't even get a point from Sunderland or QPR at home after a break.
No, they're certainly not Barca, and I've been convinced since Christmas that they were nailed on for the drop. But Redkrapp has made them hard to beat, and now with Remy and Zamora fit, they can add a decent attacking threat to a solid defence. And we weren't appalling against them btw. We played some good stuff at times, but Samba had Ricky tied in knots, which rather negated our threat. And they capitalised on 2 defensive errors.
We were appalling against them. We made Samba look incredible by playing to his strengths. Anyway, I fully expect West Ham to slip down the table, but we'll have to start getting results if we're going to overtake them. I don't think they're going to go down so if we get close to them that's got to be good news.
Sorry but that isn't true. We looked more threatening in that game than we have for ages. We are improving without question. I believe you guys might become involved in the short term (with the next two games being tricky) but you certainly have enough to win what you need after that. I fear our run might be too late but a lot hinges on what happens next week at Villa.
