What's your thoughts on being accused of bias towards your clique, Dave?

Exactly the point I made on another thread. I would say our last really good game was at the Liberty on 8th Dec and we nearly ended up drawing that having been 3-0 up at half time!!!

I don't intentionally favour anyone, I have the same point of view as many other people so I'm hardly likely to disagree with them am I?

What really has brought this to a head is the PM I received! I will not divulge who, but I will say, if you knew, you would realise why it stirred me into action!

I'm not asking you all to hold hands and sing "Jerusalem!" I just want you to disagree with each other in a gentlemanly way, sorry Carla, gg and yellows, not meant to be sexist!

    Jeez it's a kicking off!

To be fair to Dave, maestro and DH, they do a good job. For those who were on it, remember BBC606 and the modding on there. No chance of posting abusive stuff on it! We do have more freedom here.

It is a fine line between trying to argue a point and being a little abusive, and things have for sure got a bit more heated on here since the transfer window and recent indifferent form on the pitch. from what little i have seen of the recent activity, in general it didn't seem to bad, but clearly someone is upset and that needs addressing by Dave and co.

Nah, we're pretty thick skinned. Over on the QPR board you've only got to post a Taraabt thread and internicine warfare breaks out. I come here for a break and a some mild abuse from you Beefy

I'm sure the moodiness here co-incides with crap performances and results. After you mugged the Toffee's it was all sweetness and light on here

Once again you are putting words into people's fingers that they didn't say in order to prove your point, which to me is the very worst kind of debating.

Can you please show me one example of where someone suggested Southampton was going to be an easy win, or "banker" if you prefer. Nobody said this and nobody expected a win, all we ask if for us to at least have a bloody go at winning the game and if you genuinely think we did have a good go then one of us must be deluded <ok>

I feel I have a Blair type role to offer in bringing you lot together again. Can't you just all unite and start shouting at COLUMike again?

Jesus Christ! People say Dave's post is an over-reaction, but then go and massively over-react to this post in itself. Dave isn't asking everyone to have the same opinion, he is asking you to respect other people who don't share yours! By all means, disagree with it and share your reasons for it, but I think the point Dave is making, it that snide little digs at other posters are extremely tiresome for most of us to read. When 1950 complained about the off-topic threads, which IMO he had a valid and reasoned point, the next few days people were saying things like 'Oh, don't let 1950 read this' and as far as I am concerned it just looks really pathetic. If you don't like what someone says, then that is fine, but don't then bring it up again in a personal attack later on!

    Rant over.

    Wow.

I’ll be honest, I’ve not really kept up to date with what’s been going down on this board for a few weeks but has it really come to this? And blimey – I really am hated by some on here aren’t I!!! My parents will be so proud... no seriously, they will – they are both Binners <laugh>

By the way, if people are wondering if it was me who complained then I can assure you it was not. And if anyone is pondering why I’ve been ‘conspicuous by my absence’ as it's been put (I’m sure you’re not really but...) feel free to DM me – I certainly won’t be posting about it on here, though, if I came out and told you all then **** me, would this pathetic and needless squabble be put into perspective.

We all support the same team here, at least, that’s what I thought. I may have fallen out with the likes of KIO, Munky, ILD and Carrabuh more times than you’ve all had hot dinners but I can promsie you, if one of their names crops up in that little sidebar, I’d make sure I read that post as its normally a great read. It’s often much more interesting to disagree than agree – I don’t think that aspect should be denied to anyone (assuming its fairly harmless of course and that both sides realise the nature of the postings).

Anyway, that’s all I’ve got to say on the matter. Enjoy the rest of the week and lets hope for a better performance on Sunday. We’re almost safe and with the added prospect of our largest ever transfer kitty this summer and a stable, debt-free club, we should all be excited about what the future holds rather than moaning and fighting about stuff. The football may have been far from perfect the past few weeks and certainly not everyones cup of tea, but we are in the fortunate position to be able to change all that.

The future is far brighter than many on here would have you believe and even if we go down this season, or the next, or the one after that, there’s more to life than 90 minutes of football each week.
