Your point was that the reason you are frustrated is a sequence of games leading up to this one and that it is not based on a single performance. So if we played well on Saturday and won would you be moaning about the previous poor games? You'd be a pretty lonely voice.
I know he's perfectly capable of answering for himself, but, as site moderator, his role is to make the forum a (more) welcoming place for visitors old and new. This 'task' is made considerably more difficult when pictures of giant pink handbags get posted up on a Sunday evening. Just saying
Dave, While i understand your intentions and however well intended they are, i would like to refer to the posting from saturday evening directed to myself from yourself. now while its water off a ducks back to me, surely you should should practice what you preach first? for anybody that does know what i posted previous, please go to the southampton match thread, page 7 to get up to speed.
Lol! That handbag was genius, was it not? I'm not about to go ape on carabuh and he had no point to make if you look at the thread. Just wanted to trash me. I can take it as well as give it out but I felt a pink handbag would be an amusing bookend on carabuhs strange rage toward me.
Surely just winning is enough Munky, why do we need to win convincingly, I´d happily take 9 one - nils from now to the end of the season
How near exactly were we to "playing well" would you say? And when was the last time you honestly believe we have "played well"? I'd say "playing well" is pretty much the polar opposite of what has been happening lately, in 6 of the last 8 games we have failed to score and when we have they haven't exactly been well crafted goals resulting from good play have they? The stats don't lie my friend, and neither do my eyes, I honestly cannot remember a good performance since before Christmas, slightly worrying when you consider we're now in mid-March wouldn't you say?
It's perfectly natural for people to disagree (which isn't daves problem) and when people get frustrated they may insult eachother..again should be left to sort it amongst themselves and if necessary a pm from a mod. A thread though about a "well respected" forum member leaving over bickering is quite frankly ridiculous. Perhaps that person shouldn't be on a forum if they can't deal with that. It's life. This thread should probably be used now to let everyone get things off their chest, locked then people can get on with things. I'll start...some people are so sheltered ;-)
But we're not winning are we? Last time I looked we weren't anyway, yes we scraped a win against a seriously out of sorts Everton team a few weeks back, but that was hardly convincing was it? and I wouldn't say we even "played well" during that game. Once again I am being taken out of context - my use of the word "convincingly" was in retort to Beef who put it to me that "if we've have won convincingly on Saturday you wouldn't be moaning". One thing that really does get my goat on here is being taken out of context and having words put in my mouth, does my head right in I can assure you!
Dave, I wrote to you ages ago with reference to the personal abuse I was getting from a particular poster, YOU DID **** ALL ABOUT IT, so I would like to know what the hell this is all about. I fully understand I'm not one of the favourites on here.......so does that mean I CAN be abused? It does seem that a certain Clique exists who can do no wrong, and the rest of us are left out in the cold.
But the Golden Child hasn't turned up to tell us all that we don't understand football properly and know absolutely nothing.
I'm not denying we have had some **** games but I know this team can give a lot more. Ill panic with the best of them when the time is right. Tottenham at home was alright, surely? Everton in parts? We aren't In a league where we are going to kick the **** out of teams any more. There are no scunthorpes or yeovils in this league.
I didn´t say we were winning Munks, I was referring to the upcoming games. Strange how easy it is to misunderstand each other, eh?
