but when i was last home, i was in hmv or somewhere, and i was sure i seen some records on sale. i thought they were obsolete now, and just collecting dust in peoples lofts.
Real collectors items these days. Theres a good market for them I'm told. You could have a fortune sitting in the loft!
a bulemic after a blowjob.. hope bill doesn't read this post, after he was talking about threads going off topic...
I'm at work from seven in the morning until seven in the evening on Sunday, so I can't say that I'm too enthusiastic about that day. However, it will be interesting to see how those youngsters perform. As for Mensah. he looked dreadful, and even worse, uninterested against Wolves, so to be honest I would rather see one of the kids in his place for this game.
My lofts full of vynl records and my moms 78s But can anyone remember the big old 8 track recorders for your car they were like video tapes I also was one of the unfortunate ones who said "No they won't phase out Betamax recorders" lol
As for Sunday i am looking forward to it i am off to Turkey lol I will be in Doncaster airport flying at 7pm I am hoping for Blackburn Birmingham West Ham Realisticly Birmingham Blackpool West Ham Im just pleased we are not in the mix as its squeaky bum time for those supporters
Got to say Syd that I am somewhat less enthusiastic about Sundays game than you are but I agree that if the young guns are included in the team form the satrt my interest will soar dramatically. Just trotting out the same old same wont fill me with enthusiasm but seeing the future playing in the Red & Whites, as you rightly say, will be a great touch from Bruce IMO
I'm afraid cest that a team of the same old will mean it will be Sky all day for me. After the last few months I, and I suspect you, need something to get me through the break with a smile and a glimmer of hope. So far team performances and gossip of our next big thing, Carew, aint doing it mate.
Syd - just the job. You couldn't ask Len and Raich to pop down for a kick-about on Sunday, could you? Pye t.v.s lasted well into the 1970s so, yes, they would be colour. My second record player was a Pye that was portable and looked something like a ladies bag when closed up. Can't remember what that model was called though. Did some very honourable service though - Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, Eddie Cochran, Gene Vincent. Wow, m-a-a-an. Ha!
I remember my first TV. The cabinet it was in was huge and screen was 18in but the cabinet made it look smaller. I had a record player with an autochanger. If you open up your computer hard drive you will get an rough idea of what a stack records on the autochanger looked like
My fellow cranky old farts we must get our facts right. Back in the day. Singles were played at 45 speed. LP's were played at 33. Ep's were also 45 I think ? As for 78's were they old his masters voice recordings? Now tell me I am wrong. Are you all ****ing senile????
