    Love it, Love it........Especially.......

:emoticon-0159-music When I Was Young, Just A Little Boy.

My Grandad Bought Me A Brand New Toy.

It Was A Gashead On A Piece Of String,

He Told Me To Kick His ****ing Head In!

Kick His Head In, Kick His Head In,

    Kick His ****ing, Head In.

When I Was Older And I Went To Work,

I Saw That **** In A Blue & White Shirt.

I Remembered What My Grandad Said,

And Kicked The **** In The ****ing Head.

Kick His Head In, Kick His Head In,

Kick His ****ing, Head In. :emoticon-0159-music

Normal people might not get it but all it really was theatre silly songs about the gas. When the game was dull out came the anti rovers songs and it was like a competition to not repeat one. There were occasions where it ended up with the atmosphere eventually picked up v the flat football and it appeared to affect the game itself.

AP should have been given a contract such was his impact on support. Gone for years now, but people still mentions his chants here.

Also there was we've got Johnny Johnny Johnny Galley in our team in our team (repeat) Johnny Johnny Galley is our King (repeat)
When Joe Royle played for us every one used to chant Air Raids but I think that first started for Paul Cheesley as he was so damn good in the air.

The best topical chant ever was a game against Sheffield Wednesday back in early 90's. Rest of the country covered in snow but none in Bristol at start of game. By half time, it was snowing and the PA man calmly told the Wednesday fans that the motorways north of Bristol were becoming blocked with traffic and snow. To which the East End sang "There's only one B&B in Bristol, etc"

    I used to like
"There's only one Danny Wilson, only one Danny Wilson, walking along singing this song, walking in a Wilson wonderland"

I know we sang it to others but it always sounded better to Danny Wilson <laugh>

I remember back in the 70's in the east end, if the oposition scored, the "your 'gonna get your ****in head kicked in!" would start before the ball actualy touched the net it was so spontanious!

Still my fave though, although not old at all, was the "always believe" sung on "that" night versus Palace......tingles down the spine still now.
