Billy Big Mouth Davies wouldn't have come to City we don't have enough money for him he like clubs with big crowds and plenty of money so he can go and buy success, but having said that just how much success has BD had even with everything he has spent? Everything S O'D achieved up to Forest was achieved on a shoestringand what happened at Forest he took a club struggling to the verge of the playoffs and he got sacked.
The day Forest sacked SO'D, was a great day for Bristol City, although at the time we did not know it!!!
I agree. I was saying if the board acted much earlier then SOD was not available. The timing of the boards decision meant that we got SOD. What Onefor is saying may also be true - that if we sacked Delboy earlier and got someone else (not Sean as he was not available) we wouldn't be where we are. Maybe we should have acted earlier and taken on someone else (?) but I am very happy with Sean.
Only problem was who would we have got because I couldn't think of many people that could have turned the team around as quickly as S O'D has and its not a flash in the pan it's been a steady improvement, Noticed Steve Davies saying he hadn't thought he could play the single striker role until Steady went off injured because he likes to play off of another player.
