Typical, 2 minutes before half time All came about from a free kick on Bale that never was. Then he's alowed to come onto the pitch in the exact area that Spurs are attacking to suddenly outnumber us down that side.
We were getting far to deep, our passing is all over the place and I can't help but think we need an extra body in the middle.

Fairly even game. We have had least possession but look smarter on the ball. Not exactly tika taka Marsala but think we look slightly the better team. Shame about their goal... Regina would have stopped that.
I still say we need Henderson on for Downing. Spurs are flooding us in the midfield as they are playing really narrow with Dembele and Sigurdsson coming in from the wings and helping in the middle. Henderson would tip the balance back in our favour.
I said this before the game that them having 4 central midfielders playing would probably mean they'd outnumber us in the middle due to them naturally coming inside from the wings but it does open up space on the wings and you can see that when Downing/Coutinho get the ball and they are always 1v1 with the defender.
Dembele looks a very good player - seems to just walk past players in the middle of the pitch. Seemed to sneak under the radar a bit last year with Dempsey having an awesome season for Fulham.
