Cheers mate, and great to finally meet you too. I had decided you were a figment of Nine's imagination , he always says you are going to turn up at the pub and, until yesterday, you never had. As for your mate, how could I be annoyed by someone who thought I looked 10 years younger than Stan
Wow what a day.....Everything Roller said and more. Thank you so much Ezwoldo for the ticket (I did not/would not sell the spare kids ticket to the touts)...made my way up from Acton on the bus, chatted all the way with two Rastas ....fantastic chat, off to the Conningham, was looking for Roller and Col as I had seen pictures...but it was Staines who recognised me (from the Beth on my back). Staines was just as I imagined him to be ( can I say Staines.....you are "a brother from another mother"). Then Roller came over and we got to meet Col, Stan, and sons (so jealous of you all having sons to take to footy....but more of that later) Norway and eventually the irrepressible 999s...and then Finglas and family...wow...wonderful meet. I know you all now, it was a real honour. ... I slipped off early and met up with Flyer and his mates too, so many friends.... Ezwoldos ticket was great...and the RRRs were wonderful, even when one down, we fought with conviction...and to see three goals , and three wonderful goals was amazing...and to sing like that...the support. After the whistle, even more exciting my name bellowed out and I see Roller and Stan again, sitting not far behind me...after a brief chat of home...but and then the hike back to my car dumped in Hillingdon But in Loftus Road another bellowed "Beth" but this time in a soft Irish accent and there was Finglas again, and I am greeted like an old friend....what devotion from Finglas to come over from Dublin everytime...leave at 6am, home for midnight...a true supporter!! And to round the day off...my youngest daughter, who had been texting me through out the match for updates....ASKED ME IF I COULD TAKE HER TO THE NEXT MATCH!!!!!! What a day, what a mothers day (yes the girls bought me a pack of Crabbies) Thank you all. Love you all, Come on uRRRRS
Was a real pleasure to meet you in person 'Sister' Beth. I thought that i wouldnt meet anyone at first but when you walked in with your name on the back of your shirt that kinda helped . Hope to meet you AND your Daughter for Wigan.
Don't get jealous Cerny. I was hoping you were gonna turn up....and when you left to use the gents....I expected sku to turn up wearing identical clothes and looking very similar except for a moustache, horn rimmed specs and a hat
Why didn't you come Cerny....would have loved to have met you. I have (imaginary) pictures of you all in my mind ...sometimes they fit (Staines) and I would have LOVED to know if you fitted my picture ( are you 16 with bum-fluff), are you 35 (looking like Steve Coogan's Tony Ferrino) or are you 89 and Albert-steptoe look alike)
I love it! It would be great for Cerny to be there and for me to be there too, just to settle this Cernygate nonsense once and for all! Image that; two different contributors in the same room. We could even do a 'Pepsi Challenge' and get us to login separately at either end of the Connie and send a message dictated in secret - mine from 999s - his from Staines. Proof m'lud that they we are indeed two separate posters.
That is just brilliant Beth. Great to meet you too. I hope you and your daughter enjoy the next match. Happy Mothers Day.
Yes Staines. When do the tickets go on sale???? Wigan winning yesterday saved me from spending my day in Liverpool watching Tranmere Rovers V Hartlepool United. Phewwwwwwwwww
So you Sku are Tony Ferrino and Cerny is the 16 year old with bum fluff...I am not giving up with these images until proved wrong!
Aha, I see what you did there old Cerny cat! Staines will no doubt insist that I refer to it as a self portrait!
well got just after 2pm & was packed & didn't know anyone there & had a pint & left about 2.30 tried to find you lot there but it would look a bit odd asking are you one of the not606's, where you at the end of the bar at far end? oh well i'll pop in again & try.
