Yeah, sure.

 

If you want to improve your light/heavy armour rating really quickly, just let a mudcrab attack you for ages while you cast a healing spell. Restoration will go up fairly fast as well.

 

Then when your armour gets high enough, go and dance around with some giants... just make sure to have a good stock of potions, just in case. Also, mudcrab technique works great with Block.

I'd advise against my tactic for placing bets: going for the horse with the most amusing name.

Saying that one time the horse I would have bet on came in the top three or something, but I didn't bet on him.

 

So I've just sold a few items, about four or five, some of which were sold for over 100 gold and it doesn't seem to have visibly raised the bar for my speech skill at all! Am I just being impatient and will it not have a huge affect if you sell even multiple things under several hundred gold?

 

I think it all depends on the value, I'm not really sure... maybe sell separately.

For lovers of puzzle games (Portal etc.), friend of mine showed me this new indie game, very interesting concept, I've played about 45 minutes of it and was pretty fun, gets increasingly fascinating as you go on.

Just north of Whiterun ther's a mine with a Transmute spell book. It changes iron ore into silver and then gold ore.

 

Bit of a pain in the arse, as you have to keep waiting to get your magic back up, but if you have patience then yeah.
