Andy Johnson was sold at a profit of a few million though. The other two were about £15m wasted. Strange he doesn't get much stick, maybe because Man City rescue his budget with their ridiculous buys.

Moyes got £47m from Lescott, Rodwell and Arteta. That's good business, but on the other hand what has Moyes done with it? They already had Fellaini before this money. Moyes hasn't invested in top quality players, and yet his squad has no depth either.

Just read back today's posts on this thread and come to the conclusion that maybe (just maybe mind) Gerrez is a closet Bluenose.

Their ripe for having the piss taken out of them today and they'd rip you a new one with even less than half the chance yet he panders to their sensibilities!

Yakubu and Johnson were good buys Gerrez. Bily was terrible though.

  4. I thought they were both good buys but neither did as well as expected. Maybe that's a bit harsh on AJ since he also suffered with injuries. I though Yakubu was the perfect signing when you got him, he'd been doing very well for a couple of seasons and I actually wanted Liverpool to sign him, glad we 'missed out' <laugh>

Wasn't the yak injured most of the time he was there as pretty sure he didn't start most of the time and his goal/assist return was pretty **** anyway and you then you practically let him go for free. So maybe not quite that good.

Certainly not a blue but I certainly don't dislike them like I do with other teams. I don't really go down the 'rip the **** out of...' approach TBH. Hard to believe but I prefer to talk sensible about football most of the time <ok>

PS...I've been known to talk about Man Utd without attempting to rip the **** too although I can hand on heart say I have never wanted them to win a trophy <laugh>

Fook me reds we got ragged In a cup game lol and your poke at our signings with a ****ty stick ha ha ;)

Let's get It Into context we were ****e In a cup game were complacent and got done not like It's never happened to the mighty reds Is It?

Talking of signings you paid 35m for a steaming turd West Ham don't want lol...

Back to reality though I think Moyes has boobed somthing rotten not signing a contract or stating his Intentions It Is plain for all to see that we have gone to pot since he said he will leave his contract run out and see In the summer...It clearly shows he thinks he Is now bigger than Everton and Is showing little respect In doing what he has done? Surely he knows weather he Is off or not and personally I think It's time for Kenright to call him a taxi and let a new manager have a few games of the run In to assess before the summer (Not that he'll get more than a fookin pound to spend mind lol)

    Onwards and upwards eh<whistle>

  8. Who was doing that? There was a discussion about Moyes that involved signings <ok>

    Yeh the **** ones lol:laugh:

So for the tidy LFC fans who do you think we should get In once Moyes has finally decided to bugger off? (Prob best If just Gerrez answers lol)<whistle>

  10. To be fair, we was discussing his transfer activities whilst talking about him leaving, someone said he wouldn't be good at a bigger club because his expensive signings are not great, hence looking at the "**** ones" <laugh>

As for who you get in, no idea as I don't watch much lower football and I don't think you will go for anyone in the premier League. Well, maybe Rafa...? <laugh>

Edit: I think you might be interested in Martinez but since he's turned down a few jobs that are considered bigger than Wigan, I'm not sure he would join you guys <ok>

You completely miss the point G. Take a look back at the piss taking by me and Billy and others and you will find that there is nothing nasty in it. Now this is a banter thread and as far as I know that includes having a laugh at your opponents. I really don't think it's right for a Mod to try and put a dampener on that when it is in no way out of hand.

  12. I wasn't trying to put a damper on anything Dave. Nor did I think or say things were getting out of hand since they clearly wasn't! Just because its called a banter thread does not mean you cannot speak without taking the piss if you choose <ok>

So what was "In fairness, there was also quite a few on here that wanted Everton to go on and win the cup. Don't take comments by a few posters as the feelings for all Liverpool fans" supposed to mean then?

If Liverpool fans on a banter thread on the Liverpool board want to take the piss out of the Blues then we really don't need the parental voice of reason. Considered discussions can easily be conducted on other threads.

As you agree none of it was malicious

Show them no mercy Gerrez <ok>

I've come out of the Park End/Bullens covered in the sweaty, dirty bluenose spittal (and sprayed with liquid we generally accepted was the colour of lager but probably not lager) often enough to expect some solidarity here <whistle>

They hate us...we laugh at them. Such is the way of the world.

Jol, just to back up Dave's comment, of course I'm taking the piss. Just as half my b/s family have taken the piss most of this season. All your points about us being fallen giants and so forth are undeniable. But even in the 60's we'd have revelled in you being positively stuffed at home to a team we anihilated at their ground last week, and after many blues had decried that victory as being against no-mark relegation fodder.

I still say, if it's at all possible I'd like you to get fourth as we definitely can't, but I think it's more likely we'll now catch you as you get that fourth. Not certain, but Fellaini is the difference between your team being top six or just top half, and today he was pathetic. But hey ho, I've said since November I expect it to come down to the Anfield derby, and maybe Moyes is due that win at Anfield, with form being irrelevant in that fixture.

So yeah, these comments and my Red Nose posts were pisstakes - good on you for having the balls to come on here when bigger mouths are hiding. Good luck with the rest of the season.

  17. Maybe it was because a Everton fan had said we were ALL laughing at them which isn't true, especially since we went out the same competition two rounds earlier to Oldham <doh>

Apologies if you thought I meant otherwise <ok>

Anyway, lets concentrate on getting above the bitters today...<laugh>

We got stuffed yesterday although they played great 1st half In reality they had an outstanding 5 mins lol we got suckered but they are capable of that...I don't mind showing my face In defeat at all tbh we got done end of not like It's never going to happen again anyways lol..

We got no chance of fourth tbh we will slide now I reckon you have easily got a better chance at fourth your playing well for a start? The way you have Improved last couple of months I think you will smash us In the derby aswell tbh :emoticon-0107-sweat

A few games between now and then though so a form turnaround miracle could happen lol? I think I know who your on about as In bigger mouths not showing up after defeat lol lets see who's on the LFC board later If monkey boy pulls summat outa the hat again today <whistle>
