Agree FLT BBC coverage is very poor. We had 15 shots with 7 on target. You'd never know that from their coverage.

I think overall the BBC coverage is lacking in areas, but to be fair to them in that regard, most of our shots were either straight at the keeper or 10-15 feet high or wide. Would be hard for them to give a fair representation of our shots without giving the viewing public a 10 minute showcase of how the whole team have got their boots mixed up between them and Adam is wearing is left on his right and right on his left. I think Fonte had his on backwards.

Interestingly, Squawka's data-based man of the match was Bunn, the Norwich keeper. That says something. He didn't appear to put a foot wrong all game.

It's also interesting that they had us with

    10 - on target
    8 - off target

Puts a slightly different slant on it.

    Vin

EDIT: Forget I ever posted this - completely, totally and utterly misread your post!

Poor coverage by the Beeb in my opinion, they could have at least highlighted our shout for a Penalty too, Luke, please if you want to exchange shirts, do it after the final whistle, one the bad habits he has picked from a couple of recent matches, watching the CBs on Rickie! If they can get away with why not Luke! On Football First, the first defensive action and the commentator says Hoover made the clearance, now he is a fair haired Dutchman with a number 5 on his shirt, the guy that made the clearance was a dark haired Portuguese! With a number 6 on the shirt, an easy mistake to make.

Does make you think about the errors they may make with other teams. We moan that they don't know Saints details, like Mauricio talking to players, but we may also be taking as gospel what they say about other teams.

I would have thought that a point was a decent result for Saints,it's the result I went for on the Norwich board.I suppose the QPR and Villa results worsen your position slightly, although not a lot.Not convinced myself that 'arry has turned a corner.I just have a feeling that Villa may do them next week.

It's one of those things, and I've harped on about it all season, going into the game on paper, a point is a decent result, but regardless of that off of paper and into reality we should have won the game. Same case in our game at St. Mary's, and against Swansea and Stoke, points were all 'decent results' there going in but on the balance of play we should have won all those games. And against United in both games, we put in admirable performances and only lost by a goal both times, decent results and performances overall, but we should have taken at least two points if not three or four from those games. It's all these decent results that mean we're still dangerously close to the relegation zone rather than pushing for the top half.

Over a season you always win a couple you shouldn't and lose games you dominated. It's what makes football so unpredictable.

What a miserable day at Delia's ranch yesterday and a fairly miserable trip home with the weather and the traffic problems getting out of Norfolk.
Saints played well again away from home, and were the better side for most of the game. If only we hadnt left our shooting boots on the bus it could have been a comfortable 3 points. Defence played well and Cork did his usual sterling effort in midfield, what a season this lad is having. Yoshida made some great interceptions/tackles, just a pity he cant improve the passing side fo his game a little.
Linesman on our side was rubbish and clattenburg can get under your skin at times. I am beginning to wonder why they still have linesmen, as they appear to be irrelevant now.
Credit to both teams for playing soem reasonable stuff at times in really bad conditions.
Boruc saving Holts pen may yet be the point that keeps us up.

Wasn't that outside the box? And he was barely touched? Or am I thinking of a different incident?

It looked outside the box to me and I was pretty much level with the incident.

The problem is the only points we have gotten that we didn't deserve were the three against Villa away. Whereas we've now had 7/8 games where more points were either on a plate for us or very obtainable and we didn't take them. It doesn't even vaguely balance out for us, hence I don't think it's the classic case in football of you win some you lose some, it's more of a systematic problem for us. If we survive the drop it will be seen as success but in terms of talent, ability and (since the beginning of November) performance, we should comfortably be a top half side, and to be where we are makes us one of, if not the biggest under-performers of the season for me.

*EDIT* Apologies for the slight doomsayer tone of this post, don't mean it to be overly negative nor critical, just realistic.

Indeed for me it was just outside, it didn't look like much but he definitely grabbed his hand and pulled him back to prevent him getting to the ball.

We could argue about it alll week but for once the MOTD team got it right. The penalty wasn't one but the first half pull back on Holt was as clear a penelty as you are ever going to get so,as we missed it,you are a bit ahead on the deal.

Just because the first one wasn't given it doesn't mean the 2nd one should have been given. You can't say the decisions even themselves out because the penalty that was given was in injury time and we would have lost had it gone in. If the 1st one had been given and you had scored it we would have had time to try and get back in the match. 2 wrongs don't make a right.

We had exactly the same thing at West Ham with Clattenburg where he gave everything against us including a penalty that wasn't and then did not give us one that was.I take your point on timing but I do think that over a whole season they more or less average out.Of course if you end up going down by a single point I can see how you might single out individual errors.

Not sure as it was on the other side of the box and I was low down. I was looking forward to seeing it and they sent bother showing it.

I was in row II and it looked outside the area to me.
