Great win and great team display. Actually hard to pick MOTM as they all played so well. No weak links, no petulance. Just very hard work and application and not inconsiderable skill that produced a great result. Bring on The Villa!
This one had so many positives (when my stream was working). Better possession. More players in the box. Players looking more composed on the ball. A sense of unity within the team. Hoilett looks like a new man. Samba getting more commanding by the second. I must add that the fans were immense and the noise of support after going a goal down was truly uplifting. Bosingwa worth his wage this week. I won't call Villa a must win or say it's impossible if we lose (we wouldn't make it that easy for ourselves would we) but Harry did say the outlook would be brighter after 2 wins. He has that new belief to build on. Whatever happens next week, we're in there fighting and at least giving ourselves a chance.
As soon as we went 1 down, I said we can still win this if we get a goal back before the hour. I said that because theree was no hint of a defeatist attitude from the players, they wanted to win badly.
Me too. I felt strangely confident even after we lost a goal, even though judging the season as a whole I had no right to. The players today just looked like they wanted to win and we've not seen that all season.
