Bad game today. Think we went too defensive giving Chesterfield too much time and respect. We failed to give anything going forward. Yes we hit the post early on but that was pretty much that. Under JW we usually defend well and be hard to break down, but our defence wasnt up to scratch today either. So with bad defending at times along with offering hardly anything up front, so no suprise we lost. But what does suprise me is that it sounded like we didnt play well either. It brought back so many memories from Buckle/McGhee. Very disappointed. Not expecting to win every game so we will lose but if we lose then lose trying. Not like this.
C'mon cjs...cheer up. Remember where we were. We weren't going to win every game. Two home games to come.......................
im ok mate, as i said in the thread, we wont win every game so of course we will lose. i just expected a better performance.
cant remember how to do it you do realise you still in the relegation zone dont you and the 2 teams below have 1 or 2 games in hand and you will lose next weekend vs wolves which is when im sure i will remember how to update the league table
flipping hell, 1 win for them (still in relegation zone) and a defeat for us (still 8 points clear for relegation) and they come out of hiding
tweets from some players about the defeat... Parkes: Harrison: Hitchcock: Brunt: Smith: O'Toole: Richards: Mildenhall:
as you know I hardly ever come over here, but going by the activity of the rovers fans on this site I think you'll welcome some comments! Do you really only get around 3 posters? plus days without activity? come back and play with us CJS!
3 posters?? days without activity?? i can tell you hardly come over here thinking that as for playing with you lot, i just washed my hands mate, maybe another time you are right though, activity is slow this end. march alone we have had 17 active members. maybe as things been going so well recently what is there to talk about?? cant slag the board, manager or players off. guess we could make tons of games but that dont normally go down too well this end as we have tried! in threads i can see members who are logged on reading but just dont comment. some fans are like that just dont like to comment but likes to read and catch up on things.
At least we will know they will go out and give 100% in the next game where as under MM they wouldn't of bothered. Some good tweets
Hopefully we will get back on track next Tuesday. We couldn't really expect the good results to keep coming without certain moments of disappointment. I just wish they would play a higher percentage of pass and move football. IMO they look a much better unit that way. A huge plus point for me has been Brunt. For a young kid to put his weight about with these seasoned old lags in the opposition defences is a revelation. He receives some pretty difficult balls and turns the marking defender with real skill. I think he could be one for the future. The Gas have now attached themselves to the middle table group and average results from here on in will see them to safety.
Amazing how far we've come when we believe we can beat any team in this league and feeling totally dejected when we don't. The gas ain't going up but we're not going down neither. That will do for me. We're going to have are bad days but its how the players react that counts. Going by twitter it's very encouraging to see unity within the team.
When have I ever hid? As massive says come back and banter against us, bring all your Gashead mates as well. Just not COR he is a bit weird Planet wewonyoulost
I thought Chesterfield scored a couple of cracking goals. You could blame the defending, but sometimes you've just got to hold your hands up. Let's cheer them to victory v Port Vale... UTG!
I understand where your coming from, but if you lost your broadband then there would be no activity on this board! It would be nice to see you back over on our board as your posting is normally witty and entertaining and I must admit better than some of the **** that is posted on there!
