He was hardly in the game, didn't see him until he scored, then I saw him just once more when he missed, and last time when he got subbed! Cisse did a lot more last season. Still if Remy keeps scoring, I'm very happy.
Don't wholly agree. He moved out wide for a bit and played there. Laid off some good passes around the box. And not bad in the air. Add the goals.... and all the hallmarks of what you want from a striker!
I thought he played well. Think he had two good chances. Scored one and hit Row Z with the other but i'll live with converting one of every two chances. Let's hope he can keep it up and fire us to victory at Villa next Saturday! COYR'ssssss
Remy is a class finisher and very quick. However, I have come to the conclusion that he will always need someone up with him to be at his best. He's quite lightweight and isn't suited to playing on his own up front imo.
The business HR and TF did in January is looking absolutely brilliant. Just think about who came in and what happened today (and at Southampton).
When the ball broke to him I was totally confident that he would score, just as I would have been with Cisse last season. Wasn't it good seeing two strikers getting into the box? There were good signs of a proper partnership evolving between him and Zamora. They must have been working on Zamora letting the ball run through his legs to Remy running in behind him. It worked beautifully twice.
You bastard!! Ok...I admit it...I was concerned about the starting line up when we saw it in the pub (as well you know mate!). I expected Sunderland to start with 4-5-1 and thought they would out-number our 4-4-2 in midfield. I'll expand on that in my match report.
