Watford and Palce dropping points, that Leicester bloke job hunting soon. Get your arses into gear and sort Burnley out on Monday night. Hang on though, it's on Sky and you tend to struggle when they show up. Now's the time to change that.

    Take no prisoners.

Seems everybody's in the same boat, ie nobody seems to want 2nd spot and aren't good enough to put a few results together.

Hoping City get over this and do the opposite.

Great set of results for us today, if that doesn't spur us on nothing will. Get after Burnley and rub the noses in it. UTT

Teams on the rise such as Bolton and Forest, others on the slide like Lesta (hopefully) Brighton and Boro (in particular) and teams near us (Watford & Palarse dropping points) - this might mean second spot in particular may not require a big total just like 07-08 when Stoke pipped us to second with just 78points..

I mentioned this in a thread earlier today, we MUST NOT bottle it this time, we won't get many more chances

I''ve no doubts we can beat Burnley, I just worry about our midfield and defence. We need to somehow keep it tight. A clean sheet would be most welcome.

Surely the wheel of fortune must finally spin our way against these ****s?

The long list of injustices, freak goals, freak decisions, freak comebacks etc has to change sometime.

Need an Ian Ashbee teamtalk before the game on Monday I think.

Think I'm turning into Polly Pissypants or something but is it necessary to use the word '****' for no real reason every time you post, makes us look like a right bunch of northern ******s? Not expecting a reasonable response to that question

Personally, if any offence was to taken to language used on this thread, I’d find someone casually using a word like ‘******s’ far more offensive than ‘****’.

We have to take this chance, we've had more than enough chances to cement second and we've either lost them or won and messed it up the game after. Get the defence settled, swap Bruce for Faye and hope his experience sees us through. Win on Monday and we can really rattle Watford and Palace, lose and i think the team's morale will suffer too much.

Ian Ashbee walks into the dressing room & says "you go out there and play like your lives depend on it, you're better then them, now show it & anyone slacking sees me after the game.."

    :D 2-0 City

    Agreed.

Someone deriding '******s' comes over as callow and childishly spiteful.

And I'm not sure what 'northern' has to do with anything? :emoticon-0145-shake

I think a win over Burnley at Turf Moor to get rid of the hoodoo would give the side a MASSIVE boost. With results going our way, we really need to capitalise and hold onto that 2nd spot. This does mean however, that if we lose to Burnley, we're still in it as it could have been much worse if the results went against us.

    Exciting times!
