Doyley fouled in the penalty area again - nothing given What is this ref on?? Dan's fingers will be working overtime on his keyboard tonight.
Host of players around officials at the end of each half. A really disappointing result. Crowd really upset by Paul Ince.
Thanks BB. Nothing more annoying than an away manager gesturing. Remember Warnock doing it a couple of years ago when QPR promoted.
Too many changes again - admittedly mostly enforced. No real blame there. A useless ref. A classless opposition manager.
GFZ: "We were playing against 12 men. I have looked at the video and I am sure we should have had two penalties" "FF kicked from behind and brought down and the player doesn't even get spoken to." He was very angry.
Proper disappointing this one. Doesn't sound like Zola to blame the ref, he must have been ****e! Nothing to worry about really, everyone is dropping points all over the place at the moment. Just need to avoid 'doing a Leicester' and we'll be fine. Barnsley next Saturday could be a real banana skin but if we have Abdi and/or Chalobah back I'm sure we should have the class to see us through. Keep The Faith.
was Abdi injured in the warm up? and Chalobah was rested along with Vydra? Dodgy ref or looking for excuses? Still, we got done today. Old Watford style, late goal style (reminds me of when we were in the Prem). Maybe Doyley told the others that is how we used to play. Gutted now really but on with the show, we never made it easy for ourselves so why continue now Can't dwell on what could/should have been, esspecially at this time of the season. Zola needs to get everyone focused and ready for the next game ASAP.
That would be fab, since Mex has said he won't do it next season! Repped The ref was absolutely shocking. I can't describe how blatent the penalty shouts were. I heard Zola, and yes, he was fuming.as we all were. Disgraceful. Yes, we should have taken our chances, but we were playing against 12 men. Pathetic.
When I heard it was Hogg and Yeates replacing Chalobah and Abdi I feared for the worst--where would the creativity come from? But in fact in the first half the midfield was very good--aggressive, quick to close down, gaining possession and building opportunities. In that period Hogg missed a sitter, we scored a good goal and should have had a penalty. Somehow after half-time we went off the boil, as we have done in games before. We looked flat and tired, and hardly got forward. We gave Blackpool too much space, and let them get into dangerous positions, one of which yielded a goal. Even so, they stole the points with the aid of the ref, who ignored the foul on Bond for their second goal, and missed yet another penalty for us right at the end. What a way to lose points. Briggs looks a good player--calm in possession and capable of a good run forward. He got into the box near the end and nearly scored .Pudil did not do much today. Deeney worked hard and was given nothing by the ref. Bond was excellent again. Hogg and Yeates were good , but would never be chosen over a fit Chalobah and Abdi.
Abdi and Chalobah were injured which was unfortunate as we certainly missed them in midfield. Decent 1st half but disappointing as we tried to defend after the break. Losing the game via a mistake as well was annoying. A point would have been ok in the circumstances. Very poor performance from the ref it has to be said who missed two fairly clear cut penalties for us I felt. Presume Paul Ince was upset with something as he celebrated in front of the Rookery at the end. Expect better sportsmanship from somebody like him.
