See the difference in Nige when being interviewed by anyone other than Stringer! lol http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21721118
Well yeah we all know that already. I pity his poor wife, can you imagine what he is like when he is in a "mood" at home. I expect no one dare say a word!! lol
He was the same with our local media (David Burns) as he is with yours, arrogant, nasty, vindictive and boring!
Can't disagree with you their Charlie mate. Some managers I love listening too in their interviews, like Redknapp and Warnock (even though I can't stand him!) he does come out with some funny stuff. Still being a comedian does not get a team promoted, just look at Holloway with us, though doing a decent job at Palace (though Freedman had got them into that good position)
Holloway is possibly the most annoying person on earth, he really does talk some complete rubbish, like when he compared Charlie Adam to carrots. I agree, Warnock is a complete idiot, but he really does come out with some funny things, like 'Leeds still have a chance of promotion'! I also like listening to Bruce. He is very calm and collective, down to earth and speaks the truth within his interviews. He really has been a breath of fresh air, both in managing the team and also in his interviews.
Yup Holloway is a certified clown. I have always enjoyed listening to Bruce, seems very honest, doesnt make excuses and tells it like it is.
The best Holloway quote was an unintentional one when one of the Blackpool players had marital problems, and he said something along the lines of "they've been talking to someone about their problems, so hopefully that's put them to bed."
I never gave a dam how NP was When interviewed ... Half the time reporters ask stupid questions anyway.. I think NP does his talking in The dressing room. As for the story in the sun I wouldn't believe sod all in that comic. If you finish in the top 6 then he hasn't failed , same with Steve Bruce. In my opinion NO manager can be a sure thing for a top 2 finish, not in this league anyway.
Finish 7th or below and it will be good night and thank you Mr Pearson unfortunately, though I think if he was given next season we would be even stronger for it.
Agree with you Miami I always think managers deserve 3 seasons to build a team as long as they are doing a decent job. To many owners and fans who demand instant success . In the history of Hull City under NP we had our longest EVER unbeaten away run ... Yet some seem to think he was a crap manager .. I thought he was one of our best managers . I didn't like how he left us , but he got an offer too good to turn down so I'm not surprised he left... Also we ended up with Steve Bruce who in my opinion is a really good Manager. So it worked out great for Hull City . 3-0 Leicester City win And 2-1 Hull City win on Monday . Fingers crossed everyone else in the top 6 get beat.
Brucey may have his failings, but being a mumbling buffoon certainly isn't one of them, his post match interviews are as good as any manger I've ever heard(and I didn't rate him at all before he came to us).
To be honest i couldnt give a **** how good managers are in interviews Ian Holloway used to make us laugh at times. But look where we ended up. Relegated to League 1 If you want someone to give funny interviews employ Michael McIntyre
Probably better with Alan Carr, at least his dad was a football manager. Though I'm not sure he actually qualifies as being funny.
