Crystal Palace vs Leeds United Saturday 9th March 2013 Selhurst Park 3:00pm Kick-Off Crystal Palace Ian Holloway's men are beginning to regain their form from earlier in the Season and are looking fierce contenders for that 2nd automatic spot. A 4-2 victory over Hull at Selhurst Park put them 2 points from Watford in 2nd and in a very promising position for the final run-in. Their main catalyst in attack, Wilfried Zaha (now on loan from Manchester United) is always a danger for any defence and with target man Glenn Murray up front, they're a really hard force to contain. Other players such as Yannick Bolasie, Andre Moritz and Kevin Phillips (who recently scored a hat-trick against Hull) add to their even more potent attacking style. Unbeaten at home since August, this is a place many teams fear visiting and Holloway will be wanting to pile the pressure on Cardiff, Watford and Hull above them in order to earn a second promotion to the Premier League which he previously achieved with Blackpool. Leeds United View attachment 22029 Unbeaten in the last four, Leeds will be feeling annoyed that they couldn't come away with all 3 points against out-of-sorts Leicester City. Wins against Blackpool and Millwall and draws against Blackburn and Leicester are showing Leeds may be starting to hit a bit of form that could maybe allow them to enter into a late push for the play-offs. Neil Warnock insists that Leeds United are within the top 6 Clubs in the Country and will be looking to back up that statement by installing end-of-season consistency in order to creep into the top 6. They currently sit in 10th, 6 points behind 6th place Brighton but with 10 games to play, it's definitely all to play for. The departure of Lucciano Becchio in a swap deal for Steve Morrison from Norwich has seen Leeds, in most people's opinion, come out better. This is definitely a very hard task for Leeds, but should Leeds end Palace's unbeaten run, there may be a renewed sense of optimism amongst the Leeds fans. Interesting Facts - Leeds United ended Crystal Palace's 14 game unbeaten run in the reverse fixture at Elland Road (2-1) - Leeds United haven't done the double over Crystal Palace since 1994-95. (Premier League) - Crystal Palace have the Divisions current longest unbeaten home record with 17 games unbeaten and 45 scored at Selhurst Park - Leeds United haven't won on their travels since beating Huddersfield on the 1st December 2012. - A Leeds United victory would be Leeds first away victory against a top 15 Club. great thread Candy Man I'll go for a 2-1 leeds win I think, always have to try to be optimistic I suppose. Same team but I'd be tempted to bring Brown in for Norris, Norris seems to have down well but I like the thought of Brown playing away from home especially against a side so good in attack
Making the short trek over to Selhurst Park today as one of the no doubt numerous Leeds fans sitting in the home end. For some strange reason I'm feeling a 2-1 Leeds United victory with McCormack and Diouf scoring
I'm getting tired of wanting Leeds to win recently. It just doesn't feel right, but needs must i suppose. 2-1 Leeds !
Good thread work fella! Heres a video link as a treat http://www.firstrow1.eu/watch/173657/1/watch-crystal-palace-vs-leeds-united.html

Anyone want to start up a sweepstake on the time of the first penalty to be awarded to the Crystal Palace Theatrical School of Diving?
Afternoon all. Lively start but Palace play high tempo especially at home so we need to be up for it. Palace have scored more goals at home than we have scored in total. Guess they're due a blank then.....
