Pleased to see there's quite a few living around here and not driving in from Leeds. As for 1884. first time there last night, not cheap but decent nosh..@ £50/head incl wine. Usual novelty crap around a decent steak...sort of stuff you see on Masterchef...should I admit I watch it!
I've never been, I've tried to go twice, but it was fully booked both times(I tend to do things a little last minute). I've heard it's decent though.
i'm a postie in the posh-er areas on hull, koren lives out in ferriby, dudge just bought a house in kirk ella, chester brady and stewart were living near haltemprice leisure centre, ashbee has a house in anlaby, barmby is in kirk ella as too pappa allam, baby allam is in swanland, simmo just moved out of swanland and bruce sr has been seen in swanland too
Koren is in Ferriby as is Rosenior and Hobbs lives in Swanland. Brady and Macca currently stay at Chesters in Kirk Ella and Dudgeon has bought a place in West Ella. I'm a professional stalker.
1884 is pleasant. I've only been on a Sunday lunchtime though, so I don't think I got to experience the full extent of its 'poshness'.
HOW do I not see them?! I live 2 minutes walk away and I'm up there at least once a day ( not in Brian Fields, bloody expensive). In related news, when I was 8 I saw Nathan Peat in Princes Quay, turned out I was the first person who ever asked for his autograph.
Some 'travellers'! Permanent fixture there- dumped mattresses, broken glass, mess, scorch marks, dumped supermarket trolleys etc. Cultural Romany heritage I'm sure and probably UNESCO protected.
Chester, Brady and Evans' house is the one opposite Beech Tree with the Range Rovers and BMWs with the gated house, it's massive for the size of houses down there! And for anyone wanting to stalk all of the players, build a house outside of Nandos.
I saw them on the Sunday after the win against Birmingham. I was treating myself to a post-win sausage sarnie. I seem to see Chester every time I'm in morrisons!
1884 is spot on. Lunch is particularly good value, £14 for 3 courses, can't grumble at that. By far the nicest place in the city. That says, every time I go I think that it's a disgrace how ****e the general marina area is. Any other city would have the council spending a fortune on doing the area up and making a big deal of it. No chance of that here
Not sure what link there is here but Justin whittle is a post man in brough, I'll ask him next time for details!
