Just seen Brucey interviewed on look north, **** knows why I'm watching this but, he said. We really need our supporters there but can perfectly understand why some wont go on principle as its a nonsense.
Or as it is (/used to be) at the KC, the "potato and meat" pie. You know you're ****ed if they're cutting costs so much they can't even afford to put horse meat in them.
ticket office have been on phone, asking if we want our away direct tickets... have said we will think about it and ring them back.. want to reject them and take a stand, but dilemma is if the restrictions are lifted then i have to join the scramble for tickets after attending all the others, that would be a kick in the teeth to miss out..
Under the circumstances, if the restrictions were lifted, I'm sure the club would give all away direct members their tickets back. Andy(Amber Nectar) received the same call and told them he wouldn't be accepting the tickets, the ticket office told him many other were doing the same.
Is away direct the bus ****ers? If so, if most of them reject, I can see the club changing stance. Why suit 10 fans when a change in stance could get thousands there.
Another three lads on CI have just rejected them. I wonder how many rejections it will take for the club to change their stance? If even the Away Direct members(who go to pretty much every game), are rejecting them, then they might think again.
not sure how many there is of us to be honest, whether it will hold any weight or not.. i know it was down to 61 in 2009/2010 as it was changed to the 61 club or some daft name like that and only the people that where in it from the start were allowed in it.. not sure many more will have re applied once dropping back down to the championship and hardly any games selling out etc, so id be surprised if it much more then 100 or so, probably not enough to grasp any attention.
Ticket arrangements expected to be confirmed this week. http://www.hullcityafc.net/news/article/huddersfield-a-ticket-info-701296.aspx There's always Plan B if they fail to apply the law correctly, we'll just do a bit of advertising for the Huddersfield pubs encouraging people to turn up and watch the game on telly in protest about the income they're losing from the pre-game drinking schedule. You might need to consult the police before holding a protest march (how ****ing laughable is that, speaking to the police about how they want to police a crowd protesting about how incompetent they are at policing crowds), but you don't need to ask permission to highlight the plight of local businesses and encourage people to support them.
A march needs permission, but people who happen to be in an area and bump into each other from time to time don't. There's already a LOT of people heading to various places in the WYP area to have a quiet drink in pubs that may or may not be showing the football. There are also many going in the home ends at the invitation of Huddersfield fans. A large group is liabl to turn up at the ground anyway to see if the Police are sensible enough to open up one of the empty areas, or if they'll be stubborn enough to send the people round Huddersfield. It'll cost WYP far more to Police all these disparate groups than it would have to have just let the match go ahead and done their job properly. People should consider the opportunity for a day out in the area. Even if you've no intention of going, simply posting that you're considering it means the Police have to factor in the possibility and resource accordingly.
Exactly. my wifes initial reaction when the ko was moved was " well you may not have been able to go anyway, its Easter and we may be doing family stuff..." Then this all kicked off so I thought okay win, win.. I'm boycotting and will takle her out for a day shopping and a nice meal, Haworth is nice, Sowerby Bridge has some great pubs and a cracking curry house, The Black Horse Inn at Clifton, just off jtn. 25 Brighouse (NEXT TO HARTSHEAD MOOR shhh.. ) . Shibden Mill Hotel, just outside Halifax all great spots... As thing stand she's going on a West Yorks mystery tour.. scarves in window, car sticker in window.. she may as well support my protest! Unless WYPs finest stop us she will have no idea she's a protestor ... Bless her....
We must boycot this game and the Club should take a much stronger line , reject the allocation and support their supporters. We'll be having an afternoon sightseeing and window shopping in Huddersfield followed by a pub bar snack, about tea time ie 5.20pm
Precisely why we'll be advertising the local businesses rather than organising a march. If we spontaneously march on the day that's another issue entirely. Rejecting the tickets won't be supporting us though. It will be supporting WYP who don't want anybody there anyway, and it'll give them someone else to pass the blame to. If the club reject the tickets they'll turn round and say that they were negotiating but since the club has said no to the tickets there's no point. Clubs have rejected them in the past and gotten nowhere.
I received an email from WYP replying to my complaint the other day, didn't say much but pointed towards the recent developments towards a 'compromise'. I've responded and reiterated my disgust at the measures, even with the 'compromise' and if anyone was wondering, here's the e-mail I used: [email protected] This chap seems to be some sort of PA or something to the 'Gold Commander' for the match. Someone known as ACC Guildford. I'd suggest everyone keeps up the moaning and complaining by e-mailing this address, letting them know how we feel and asking that it is forwarded to the Gold Commander. We need to keep fighting and not back down. I'll pop this on the original post too.
This link was posted on City's Facebook page today http://www.hullcityosc.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/FSF_Press_Release_-_HTFC_HCAFC.pdf
It's actually on the City OSC page, rather than CIty's page, the club are obviously not getting publicly involved in this campaign.
