I just hope now we have reached the big 40 points, the team can and will play with a new freedom and go away and have a go at sides. If we go for it cant see any reason why we cant win. If we decide to sit back be happy with a point.
WBA haven't been playing as well as they can since their visit to ours ,but I expect a hard but fair game with us to pinch it 3-2 , we're on a roll and there's no reason for that not to continue, all the team are showing their value at the moment and individually improving as the season progresses.
A repeat of that great performance at the Hawthors in the snow last season would be nice! Gylfi was incredible for us that day, helping us to two quick goals after going behind. As I think we all agree, will be a very tough match, i'll go with a hard-fought 1-0 win with a JDG goal (from the spot!!...no tantrums this time Mr Dyer!!haha!!)
More interesting is - what team will ML put out - is Mr Flores back? - will Bartley make the bench? Does Moore get a start - what do you think
Don't think Chico is fit yet, I think Monk will get another game, not sure if ML trusts Bartley too much. Wonder if he may be tempted to try Ki at the back again, Lukaku is obviously going to be a huge threat! Would be nice to see Moore get a start, especially in his old stomping ground, but I think it will the usual 15 mins off the bench for him. Just enough time for him to get the winner!!
Does anyone on this board travel to any away games on a regular basis? I would have thought this would be just about the closest team to play at the moment.
I think we'll take this 0-2 to be honest. Just have a feeling. Whether we'll win in the rugby is a completely different matter.
If we play as we did in the first halves of WBA (Liberty) and Toon (last week) we will win. If we turn in a second half similar to those games, we will undoubtedly lose. Your guess is as good as mine as to how we will perform. I would just love it if we could turn in a complete performance over 90 minutes. When we can achieve that on a consistent basis, we really will be able to push towards the top six.
This will be a lot tougher than the game at our place WBA are a tough act at their place. I am not too optimistic but will go for 2-2. I think Bartley will partner Ash at the back.
Hey guys, popped over to see how Chico was doing (glad he's well ) and noticed this thread, and thought, while I'm here, I may as well ask.... I'm considering captaining Michu this week on FPL. How confident are you guys about this game!? It's him, Bale away at Liverpool, or Lambert away at Norwich. Your help/input would be much appreciated!
