There ya go, where all of the past few pages of the previous thread belong....... in the banter thread.
If you are going to troll and try to one-up, at least do it in the right thread and not derail others into the bitchfest.
It's not bitterness Tobes ya blurt Why would we be bitter about the Manks European record? Now we all know every bitter blue has Utd as their second team (these days it actually seems like they are your first team as you lot defend them so much) and have you ever considered why that might be? Firstly it's because you think it winds us up...which it doesn't when it's coming from your side of the park. Secondly it's the need to actually have something to cheer about ....so coming on here whining because we are basking in a bit of reflected glory really is the ultimate irony when bluenoses have been making careers out of that for decades. At least the pied piper NOF and his ratty followers have a reason to be defensive about Utd but come on lad, what's your excuse?? Any news yet on Gollums destination next year? Your lot will be ****ed when he goes
Billy come on lad, the level of bitterness towards United from Reds has increased year by year of late, the further you fall behind them, the more bitter you become We've got nothing to be bitter about any more have we mate, you're as ****e as we are these days. As for Moyes, looks like he's going, no idea where, I have a horrible feeling that we'll end up with that cock Martinez, which will see me give up my seat tbh, as I think he's a clown & you're right we will be ****ed when he goes, shame some Blues are blind to that fact though.
That's the whole point though isn't it Tobes. You've had your best spell in years and your still no better than us despite us having our worst spell in decades We may get better or worse but odds on you've peaked unless you keep Moyes and even then how long can he keep losing his best players and having to unearth players as good for half the price? The one thing I will say about Martinez despite agreeing with you about him is that he has had to do exactly that year after year. He sells his best and has to scour the world for cheap replacements. I can't see him going to Goodison though as he prefers a style of football that is played on the deck not in outer space....Pullis would suit you lot much better I'm not bitter about the mancs and certainly not their rather poor European success rate, I am only bitter about the fact that my club is/has been run by ****ing mongs (no offence NOF) for way too long. My problem isn't with the Surrey Crew it's with my own lot but that's for another thread.
Without a new owner we're ****ed mate. Moyes has papered over the cracks for years, he's turned 'water into wine' in respect of our finances, & I just can't see AN other coming in & managing to replicate that feat. So if he does wander off in the summer, then it could be the start of a grim period for us, assuming that belter Kenwright doesn't let go.
why have we had our best spell in years? we've finished 6th or higher on a few occasions under Moyes.
As much as I want to disagree Moyes has done a great job, with those resources a raft of different managers might have seen ye down once or twice. Gotta be a real pain in the bollox to get some very good players and not build on it with investment. The new rules will increase the problems, no investment without earnings first, the reverse situation of the real business world. These new rules are designed to keep the top teams top and the rest where they are, even the best plan will now take decades to flesh out. Not every club can run off to DHL or Ethihad for a nice fat sponsorship deal to boost spending power it aint about clubs going into administration, its about City in England and Chelsea\PSG and that Russian outfit in Europe, they've upset the applecart or rather the euro and PL footballocrats
I know what you mean but in Kenwrights defence (not that I have any particular urge to defend him) he showed Moyes a lot of loyalty early on, something a lot of blues weren't happy about at the time. Oh and at least he isn't Agent J The only way I can see it turning round for either of us (and a lot of other clubs too) is breaking into the CL places. I'm surprised you haven't pushed harder since xmas but then no investment came. How come you had £8 mill for the lad from Feyenoord but when that fell through you had no back up plan? Was that just a front to keep the fans happy because it seemed like it was going through? Ultimately we both suffer from not having expanded the stadiums when we should have twenty years ago.
Everton manager David Moyes on BBC Radio 5 live: "I think tonight Sir Alex Ferguson will be rightly as angry as he has ever been. The decision changed the game. I am looking from a manager's point of view and Manchester United have had a hard time tonight. I think they have a right to surround the referee. The decision was poor and it has cost them the biggest prize in football." We can see he condones surrounding the ref, doesn't he know the ref cannot change his mind? what a stupid thing to say And he goes on to say it cost United the CL? Really?
