didn't some firm start making an e-type replica called the growler? it was on top gear the other year. i'd google it but y'know.
As a 22-year-old man, the male obsession with cars has always confused me. More bemusing still is the obsession with cars that look like they've had been designed and are driven by pre-pubescent virgins
I am a self confessed petrol head. I love cars and love driving cars. I am lucky enough to have driven some fantastic cars and driven some of the most iconic race tracks across Europe. The advances in technology in cars amazes me. I agree however that many of the super and hyper cars are ugly, but aerodynamics probably has a big say in that. The fact that some people love cars and covet the most innovative and impressive cars doesn't make them immature
I'm with Wombat - I have never even been slightly interested in cars and I don't see why anyone would be. But that's the point - we're all different and all enjoy different stuff. Each to their own and all that.
My sons collection of the super car magazine is a festival of cars up until around 1985. Classic cars that are superb to look at but pigs to drive. For me the ultimate car is always a Rolls Royce everything else is just a wannabee! The new Lamborghini is not one that I would consider to be anything other than an investment, something retry to look at but not use.
I fully understand that there are a great many people who have no interest in cars. but because I am interested and have a different point of view to those people doesnt make me immature or 9 years old. That was the point i was making
I've always wanted an E-Type. Apart from being the ultimate classic car imo, I want to try driving a proper car with zero driver aids. I'd pick an E-Type ahead of a modern Super car any day.
That's one seriously ugly car. Considering you can get a top of the range Aston for less than £200k, I can't see why anyone want to pay millions for that monstrosity. The new Jag F-Type is also a much nicer car and they start from £58k... please log in to view this image
When I was a teenager I used to buy Max power for one reason and one reason only and it wasnt the billy big bore exhausts "its just a car mag mum"
