  1. Could be a sign that Rodgers isn't going to try and force a signing to come good. Rafa used to get a lot of stick for chopping and changing fullbacks but if they don't work out as you expected and you have the opportunity to improve your options then do it!

True but can't seem him turning his back on Allen so quick.

I'll admit, I am still not sold but as long as he keeps working and is looking like he wants to be here and get better then I will have time for him, just as with hendo. <ok>

He was good against Zenit and Wigan in our last two games. I also remember him putting in a fine performance as a sub against Sunderland. Early in the season he had some very good performances. This is what gives me hope. But I have seen his bad games to so it is only hope from me. But realistic hope I feel.

I agree though, Allen is putting in the work load and trying hard. I grew up to appreciate and applaud those attributes and I'm not about to change now <ok>

Allen needs to bulk up so that he can hold his own better in midfield and work on his forward passing.

He could learn quite a bit from watching Jay Spearing play for us to. A player with the best of Joe Allen and best of Jay Spearing would be very useful in the squad.

Allen was always average for us, still average for us...and probably always will be average

He looks better than average when teams don't press him, don't try to tackle him or out muscle him and give room to the midfielders near to him so he can pass 10yards for 100% accuracy <whistle>

Talksport says we are in for Sakho. Not much credibility in that, but guy's a bloody tank, would love to see him here.

I'd have Alonso back any day <ok> class act. At his age it shouldn't be an impossible deal either plus it would give some of the youngsters a top player to learn from. Even so I can't see it but it's a nice rumour.

I'm not actually sure he is needed. Lucas and Gerrard and doing brilliantly in his positions, and Henderson is on the rise to. I'm not sure he is right for Lucas's role defensively.

With Gerrard better playing deep now I prefer him deep with Lucas than him in attack with Alonso deep.
