For years the glory hunters have criticised Chelsea for a minority of mindless idiots and this was highlighted when a certain United moderator spitefully mentioned it again after your rightful exit from this years competition.

Maybe they get it from the top?

    Sir Alex’s effing fury
UTD boss Sir Alex Ferguson turned the air blue following Nani’s dismissal, The Sun’s lip reader John Cassidy can reveal.
The fiery Scot was spotted saying: “I can’t f****** believe that. How the f*** is that?”
Man United players tried to defend Nani, saying: “He was watching the ball”. But ref Cakir replied: “No he wasn’t — he hit him”.
John studied footage to reveal Fergie saying “You’re a f****** cheat” and “It’s a f****** joke”. Moments later, Fergie has an exchange with rival boss Jose Mourinho.
The Real Madrid manager covers his mouth and says something to which Fergie replies: “I’m sorry, I’m sorry”.

...nani also tried to enter the referees changing room after the game and threatened to break his legs, before patrice evra made an official complaint towards the referee, overhearing the official making racial remarks towards the winger who was sent off..

    I see.

So internet hard men posting **** on Twitter the day after the big game is the same as threats made to Frisk and Ovrebo over the telephone, via email and post, and threats to kill their families? And obviously morally equivalent to the fact that Ovrebo still got death threats three years after the game.

    Good argument <applause>

Come back when there is evidence of a single threatening letter, e-mail or phone call being sent to the ref. And then come back again after Utd fans have done it three of four times <ok>

So did anyone actually send a death threat to the bloke or was it just Facebook and Twitter?

Just seen Ian Holloway's rant too:

Ian Holloway: I don't get this, Rooney misses one game and now it's all over the paper that he's leaving. What a load of absolute tosh, Sir Alex can pick who he likes when he likes, and he's brilliant at it, so what if he decided to leave Rooney on the bench and start Giggs, to me it was working, Madrid didn't even have a sniff until that Nani bloke was crazily sent off. How can you actually keep your eye on the ball and not the player and put your foot up to control it and the bloke runs into your foot, rolls about like some sort of dying duck and then you get sent off? It ruined one of the best games you could have seen. I don't get it, I thought the referee was arrogant, didn't look good to me. Just leave Rooney alone, Sir Alex decided not to play him and that's it, doesn't mean there's a rift, it doesn't mean anything.

That man does make me laugh, what a lad.

Chelsea lost. King Ossie will be throwing windmills tonight. He'll probably put on the extra blingtastic rings for maximum impact.

Twitter was not around when Frisk was reffing. Modern technology has moved on when it comes to death threats so move on.

PS Are death threats on Twitter acceptable?

Chelsea continue their walk of shame as European "Champions". What a ****ing, Mickey Mouse shambles of a club. I'm sure another 100million investment this summer will get them back on a par with Spurs.

for GOD sake get real .. twitter death threat are not serious ,. you post something in the heat of the moment in 10 seconds .. but to get people writing him letters to his letter box and sending him texts to his mobile that must be frightening..
